Fortean (Anomalous; Undecipherable) Writing, Script, etc.

The Newton Stone was discovered in 1804 when George Hamilton-Gordon, the Earl of Aberdeen, was laying a road at Pitmachie Farm in Aberdeenshire. He had the stone relocated to the grounds of Newton House, near Inverurie, where its enigmatic inscriptions and carvings have sparked debate ever since.
Although the stone itself may have been shaped and originally erected at a far earlier time, the inscriptions appear to be of post-Roman Pictish design, accompanied by Brittonic Ogham and some other script that has not yet been positively identified.
The 45 cursive characters vaguely resemble semi-uncial script, but with many unique symbols, including a swastika.
It has been suggested that the script may be a form of Phoenician, ancient Gaelic, archaic Latin, Greek or Gnostic symbolism.

The presence of the Ogham, which is decipherable, albeit with disputed meaning, raises the possibility that the Newton Stone may have a similar function to the famous Rosetta Stone, which bore the same text in different scripts.
The mystery remains however as to exactly what this script is:
