Just saw this on the news. The way it all froze reminded me of that chocolate sauce topping stuff you get for ice cream, that reacts to the cold of the ice cream and turns solid.

Just think of the amount of ice cream you'd need for the chocolate in this picture... *mouth waters*

Did anyone else look at the photo, notice the long smooth track down the middle (no doubt left by an unsuccessful mechanized scraping attempt) and think, "Oh, wow - a pure chocolate Slip 'n' Slide!" ?

No, just you :p

You can't think of putting mucky feet all over that delicious chocolate!

Here's an extra-icky mess to clean up - animal blood and tissues flooding your basement ankle-deep ... :gobs:
Iowa man finds 5 inches of animal blood flooding basement

Blood may be thicker than water, but it’ll still flood your basement.

Nick Lestina found this out the hard way two weeks ago when he discovered 5 inches (13 centimeters) of blood, fat and other animal tissue flooding his family’s basement in Bagley, which is about 45 miles (72 kilometers) northwest of Des Moines. He told the Des Moines Register that he hasn’t been able to clean it up because it’s still seeping in.

The waste is coming from a neighboring meat locker, where blood and tissue from slaughtered animals was washed down a drain. Officials say a clog or break in the pipe sent the waste into Lestina’s basement through a floor drain.

A state environmental specialist traced the waste to Dahl’s Custom Meat Locker and says the company is now pumping its into a large tank.

The Lestina family has temporarily moved in with a relative.

Thousands of gallons of wine have leaked into a California river system this week.
Winery spills thousands of gallons of cabernet into California river

A California river filled with wine when a tank of cabernet sauvignon sprang a leak at a popular winery.

Christopher O'Gorman, a spokesman for Rodney Strong Wine Estates in Healdsburg, confirmed the tank in Sonoma County sprang a leak Wednesday and wine poured into the Reiman Creek, which carried it to the nearby Russian River. ...

The California Office of Emergency Services said 97,000 gallons of wine spilled into waterways, but the winery said that number represents the full capacity of the tank and only about 20-25 percent spilled. ...

Don McEnhill, the executive director of the non-profit Russian River Keeper, said volunteers have been monitoring the situation.

"We're lucky in that it's winter, the river is high, there's a fair amount of dilution. We haven't had any reports of fish kills, certainly the biochemical oxygen demand and the acidity of the wine is going to kill some smaller insect type things that are fish food. This could have been a lot worse," he said. ...

Less voluminous, but far more convenient ... An Italian winery's leak dumped its wine directly into its village's residential water pipes ...
Spill causes wine to flow through village's pipes instead of water

Residents of a small village in Italy had the taps in their houses dispensing red wine instead of water due to a fault at a nearby winery.

Locals in the village of Settecani, in the Castelvetro are of Modena, said the taps in their kitchens and bathrooms were dispensing red liquid instead of water Wednesday, and many quickly identified it from smell as Lambrusco Grasparossa, a locally-produced wine.

Officials at the winery said technicians investigated and discovered a technical fault had caused wine to leak from a silo into water pipes.

The high pressure of the wine leak was enough to displace the water in the pipes, resulting in the spilled alcoholic beverage entering the water supply and the homes of nearby residents.

The local water board dispatched technicians who were able to repair the issue, causing fresh water to again flow through the pipes. The local council apologized to residents in a Facebook post.

Some residents told local media they bottled as much of the wine that came from their taps as possible before the flow returned to normal.

I guess that's what they call dirty rice.

Rice fell off a lorry and closed a motorway after grains stuck in the tarmac made lanes "dangerously slippery".

Five pallets fell on to the westbound carriageway of the M4 near junction 16 Swindon west and 17 Chippenham at about 02:00 BST.

The motorway was closed until 05:15 and lanes one and two will be resurfaced before it is "safe enough" for traffic, Highways England said.
Closures will remain across the day.

On Twitter, officers from Wiltshire Police specialist operations team, said the rice "smells nice". ...
