The Port Fairy shark was actually about 17 feet long. The New Brunswick one was almost certainly a basking shark.

Regardless of validity they are great shots many of which where taken before modern photo editing techniques were available (although tricks of photography have been around for some time). Still very interesting group of photos thks.

I know blue whales are normally not aggressive so, this person probably had nothing to fear. What gives me chills about this video is the fact that the blue whale is the largest mammal on earth and in just moments, it disappears in that dark cold water. Makes me wonder what else is down there and how people are bold enough to take something so small as a paddle board out there to play around.

Wow! Two things came to mind. How did it fit in that tight area? You wouldn't think there would be enough food in that area for it to bother to deep dive and then surface. lol

Have you ever seen that happen before?
