Once there was an English sailor, who traveling as a navigator on a Spanish ship was blown off course and far off of the charts. After many tribulations and losing hope they made landfall in a country that to the Elizabethians was nothing short of mythical, indeed, a certain Jamie upon recieving a letter from our sailor many years later, said his accounts were `the loudest lies ever told.`

He did not come back, but the Japanese remembered him with fondness, while he was mostly forgotten at home.

William Adams featured in a comic strip the boys comic Victor in the 1960s. The reference years here, 1967 - 68 refer to annuals.
