"A lightning strike killed at least 11 people and injured many more in Jaipur in northern India on Sunday.
The victims were taking selfies in the rain on top of a watch tower at the city's 12th Century Amer Fort, a popular tourist attraction.
Twenty-seven people were on the tower and the wall of the fort when the incident happened and some reportedly jumped to the ground.
Lightning strikes kill some 2,000 Indians on average every year.
A senior police officer told the media that most of the people among the dead at the fort's tower were young."

Apparently, lightning strikes are killing an increasing number of people each year, in India. Deforestation and climate change are being blamed.

Body mods addict called 'The Human Satan' needs op after removing his navel

Michel Faro Prado of Praia Grande, Brazil, underwent liposuction and a tummy tuck in March. He had excess skin and even his belly button removed.

The tattoo artist said he recovered well, but noticed there was still a little excess skin left behind, so he had corrective surgery on June 28.

even his belly button removed.
It was a nineteenth-century* religious debating-point, whether Adam had an Omphalos, or not.

As he was not "born-of-woman," he had no real need for one. If he had one, it was a deception of the Almighty - so might be fossils, prehistoric beings etc. etc.

The point at which we disappear into Adam's Omphalos may also be a terminus for debates. So might be Satanic body modifications . . . :pipe:

Edit: *'Ancient' in first version.

New Waltham severed foot: Police seek help from female amputees

"Police have made a "very strange" appeal to trace female amputees as they try to solve the mystery of a severed foot found on a path.

The body part was found by a dog walker in New Waltham, North East Lincolnshire, in April 2019.

The owner of the foot has never been found despite DNA analysis but Humberside Police now believe it may be medical waste following an operation.

The force is asking women who have had a left foot removed to come forward."

Reminds me of the feet that wash ashore in western Canada.

Real-life Pikachus eat yak poop to survive Tibetan winters

Pikas living at high altitudes in Asia eat yak poop to help them survive winter, a new study has found.

The small, rabbit-like animals, often compared to Pokémon’s Pikachu character, can't hibernate through winter when food is scarce, so they slow their metabolism and eat yak poop to get by on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, where temperatures fall to minus 22 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 30 degrees Celsius).

Hey, that’s mine: naked man’s wild boar chase immortalised in plastic
ToyBoarChase.jpg

A woman whose photograph of a naked man in pursuit of a wild boar at a Berlin lakeside went viral has said she might take legal action against a company that has immortalised the spectacle for model railway enthusiasts.

Adele Landauer, an actor and charisma coach, told German media she resented the fact that others were making money from her snapshot, which went around the world last August.

The drama she captured played out after a wild boar, nicknamed Elsa by bathers, stole the man’s laptop in a bag that she was likely to have believed contained food. It has now been adapted into a plastic figurine set costing €13.99 (£11.90) and being sold by a model railway company as an embellishment for the landscape of a model railway set. ...

It would be nice to at least offer her, and the naked man, a percentage of the profits.

Where can I get one? :p

Where can I get one? :p
The manufacturer is the German model company Busch:

http://www.busch-model.com/english.htm

Your best bet is to see if you can find a local hobby / model shop that handles Busch products. The Busch website doesn't seem to have been updated in some time, and there's no mention (I can find ... ) of the naked man and boar set.
