Man who rammed poo-filled pants down boy's throat walks free

https://uk.yahoo.com/news/man-rammed-poo-filled-pants-115324832.html

A MAN who rammed soiled underwear down a young boy’s throat has walked free from court.

Stanley Haywood, 42, attacked the child moments after the youngster told him that he had 'had an accident'.

The defendant, of Cirencester, repeatedly asked the child about the mishap leaving him to “feel scared”.

The boy, who had sought help from Haywood, remained silent before heading upstairs to change his dirty clothes and clean himself up.

He went upstairs moments later and found the youngster holding a pair of poo-filled underpants.

“He grabbed them from him and then he was grabbed by the defendant by the back of his head”, prosecutor Keith Ballinger told Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

He added: "He pulled his hair and used his other hand to push the underpants into his mouth.

“Initially he closed his mouth, but the defendant used his hands to open his mouth and push them inside.”

Is it something to do with the oppressive humidity down in Florida that makes people crazy? (I was going to say 'high humidity' but just checked and the humidity here now is actually higher than Miami, even though it's only just above freezing, so that wouldn't have been the correct term).
Well, Florida is at the bottom corner of the US, so crumbs and other detritus just naturally collect there. It's been reported that 10% of Florida residents have a felony conviction. Happy times . . .

But even so, I'd love to have been there. Especially back in the 80s; Crockett, Tubbs, art deco buildings, boats, great storms, the 'cocaine cowboys', very comfortable trousers, chongas, sunshine, the beach.... mainly for the trousers though.

Just want to mention it is now majorly overpopulated, and continually hit by hurricanes, even more than we are up north.
Some nice areas, though.

Meanwhile, in Las Vegas ... This man issued a bomb thread at a casino, telling police he had a grenade stuffed up his fundament. Even stranger is the fact this wasn't the first time he'd pulled such a stunt.
Man threatens to explode Las Vegas casino with grenade in his backside

A man is accused of threatening to blow up a Las Vegas casino, telling officers he had a grenade in his body, police said.

Brian Gower, 46, faces one count of making threats of conveying false information concerning an act of terrorism after the incident Friday morning.

... Gower was arrested at The Strat Hotel and Casino after threatening to “blow the building up” ...

Police said while they were talking with Gower, he “was saying random things and talking about Joe Rogan and his ex-wife,” the report said. “At one point, Gower stated to [an] officer that he had a grenade in his [backside] and he wanted to [pass gas].”

Officers said Gower had previously spoken to hotel security, telling them they had 15 minutes to evacuate the building, or it would explode.

Officers did not find any explosives on Gower ...

Gower was arrested in 2021 after making a similar threat in Downtown Las Vegas, records showed.

With only 6.5 ozs/180g of explosive (in the current US Army grenade), he’d be more likely to redecorate the building than demolish it. Good effort, though.

Well, it was a while ago. If you drive a lot, you do see some strange stuff though!
Last year we were driving back on the highway from the Jersey Shore, the vehicle right in front of us in the middle lane swerved into the right hand lane to take the upcoming exit. Smacked into the vehicle that was already in the right hand lane, they both went flying all over the highway along with bits and pieces of glass and metal. I quickly swerved to the left to get around and away from them, all we heard behind us were screeching brakes and horns blasting. I have never seen anything like that before right in front of us, it was as if time slows down for a few seconds as you watch and react, as if it was happening in slow motion.

Yes, it's unbelievable how idiotic some drivers are.

Yeah I've been in a similar situation on a few occasions. I think it's something to do with your brain realises that there is a lot of information suddenly 'incoming' that it has to deal with and so steps up it's processing power ridiculously for a short period to enable you to react correctly.

Yes, it's very strange - you're probably right, the brain allows you to 'catch up' quickly.

Maybe hospital waiting lists are too long?

A man has been charged with murder after allegedly sawing another man's leg off in north-eastern Australia.

A man, 66, died in a park in Innisfail, Far North Queensland, early on Saturday after being found by passers by, said police.Police believe the and the suspect, 36, had some sort of arrangement in which the younger man would amputate the older man's leg. The two men were known to each other, police said.

Police said the men drove to the park together then 20 minutes later, the 36-year-old man allegedly cut the other's leg off under the knee with a circular saw. The suspect then assisted the injured man back to the car before leaving the area on foot.

A passer by found the injured man and called the emergency services, but the 66-year-old died shortly afterwards.

A circular saw? I nicked myself on a bit of rough wood the other day and that was bad enough.

I never posted when the verdict was reached at court but Ian Stewart was found guilty of murdering his wife (before meeting author Helen Bailey and murdering her).

I hope lessons are learnt from any mistakes that were made after the wife's death. Perhaps if there had been a more thorough process of postmortem investigation at that time, Ian Stewart could have been prevented from harming another person.

I feel sorry for the families and friends of those who died.

A woman named Renate Christa Bach from my home town was convicted of attempted murder of her husband. 14 counts of attempted murder. I would probably have left a bit earlier than that.
