Ghosts (Sitcom)

I very much enjoyed the new series. Is it my faulty memory, or is Mike a bit less daft and useless in this series? Although, still a fairly standard sitcom misadventure magnet.

Binge watched up to episode four tonight, the first three where all very good, four was one of the best things I have seen on television, very funny but also very moving watching the humans and ghosts deal with grief, yes i did have something in my eye.

Mary's ascension?
Yes. Excellent episode.
Thought they missed a trick though by not having at least one of the children (who are supposedly more susceptible) seeing and interacting with the ghosts.
For me the laugh-out-loud line was Robin's about the International Space Station.

There appears to be a podcast for each episode on BBC Sounds. The credits seem to be the same production company as Uncanny. I have a feeling that’s how the crossover happened. There’s even and uncanny advert mid podcast (no mention of when the new series is though).

Great to get Robin's back story at long last and - no spoilers, but it wasn't quite a woolly mammoth!

It struck me (no pun intended) afterwards that the method of his demise is probably the reason why Robin's ghost had the power to affect electrical equipment.

Does anyone remember Rentaghost? Really enjoyed the first series at least.
Part of the “Haunted Generations” viewing. I think I saw the early series but I left school in 1979 so likely lost touch with it.

I credit Rentaghost and The Ghosts of Motley Hall with my first interest in the subject!

I haven't watched the new series of Ghosts yet. I am almost afraid to, as, in my mind, it's absolutely perfect (well, almost!) Please reassure me that this series is just as good...

And to add (without giving much away) there are still two deaths of which we know nothing.

So room for a Christmas special maybe.

This series is just as good as the first three, watch ,laugh, cry and laugh again.

ooh yes! lets hope for one more series to clear everything up.

I remember Rentaghost but not The Ghosts of Motley Hall and got to give you a big thank you as the inner child in me has got something to watch over Halloween.
I love British TV like that and dramas from the mid 1970s to late 1980s.

I don't know if anyone saw Mastermind tonight, but one of the specialist subjects was Ghosts! Seems a bit easy - 26 episodes so 13 hours of material and that is it. In fact less as it will have been recorded before series 4...

The Ghosts of Motley Hall had a pretty stellar cast for kids TV too.

It did and reminded me a bit of the excellent Children of The Stone but that was much darker for a kids Tv Show alongside later Chocky.

I loved Moondial. I got it on dvd but never did get around to watch it. Probably just as well often things aren’t as good as you remember , as a rewatching of Sapphire and Steal reminded me.
