A Samurai film that attacks the whole heroic genre. A wannabe samurai seeks revenge on a couple who slighted him. That's it. It all takes place in the dark,(1 bit of colour at the start as the sun sets) then B&W for the rest. No redemption, extremely nasty spurts of violence, no hope, no future...

Seen this and....was entertained, Citizen Kane it's not but a creditable effort on what looked like a low budget. The Cow/things look pretty freaky, well enough acted, and it doesn't feature American teens. Better than Sunshine in that it's somewhat believable as opposed to just plain daft. 6/10
