That's true - just as many women in the Leeds area were in fear of the Yorkshire Ripper. But in Begg's book, it was mentioned that Kelly had her boyfriend buy newspapers and read the Ripper reports out to her. That's what struck me - that a woman of Kelly's class would have newspaper reports...
