Moon Exploration: Manned Missions & Moon Bases

Hi, all I was wondering which country was most likely to next put a man on the moon when i came across this article which claims the Russians plan to have a permanantly crewed moon base by the year 2032. Fascinating stuff, to think that only 20 years from now a crewed stepping stone to Mars may...

    Weird Weather

Last night at 8.55pm approx a power outage struck a large section of Norfolk. I know for a fact that the power was out in Norwich and gorleston. I'm between those places - great Yarmouth - but I'm not sure how far south or west the outage struck. The power was off for just over an hour but...

    The Walking Dead

I've read those books also. To be fair they weren't entirely without merit. Regarding the re-animator cat, this is clearly a case of resurrection through experimentation rather that a naturally spreading infection. I still think that the bulk of evidence would suggest that animals would be immune.

SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER Regarding your question on animals becoming zombified. Interesting. In Day of the Dead there is a brief scene with a crocodile on some steps with some zombies taking no notice of it, wether this means that the animal was...

The Lampshade Made Of Human Skin

I believe the nazis were capable and guilty of many atrocities. One of the reference books I used in my degree was called Nazi Germany A New History written by Klaus P Fischer. It has a detailed section on Nazi atrocities. Your claim that these crimes are an urban legend is actually quite...

    The Walking Dead

This was fantastic. I really enjoyed it. I love Romero's Dead films, apart from his latest effort Survival of the Dead which was decidedly lame, Night, Dawn and Day are amongst my most treasured horror movies, Land and Diary are pretty good also, but The Walking Dead out Romeroed Romero in the...

The Lampshade Made Of Human Skin

There was an article on this lampshade in Friday's Sun newspaper, of all things, with a large picture. If it is a relic from WWII nazi atrocities then it's very difficult to decide on what exactly to do with it. Burn it, bury it, put it on display... you know, lest we forget. It's very hard to...

Asteroid Near-Misses (AKA: Holy Shit! We're All Going to Die)

yes, I watched that episode of Horizon. Excellent stuff. There is something incredibly fascinating about these huge rocks floating through space like deserted ships in an endless ocean. Ouch!! Sorry, Coaly, to offend but not everyone has flogged the time travelling hipster to death. Erm... what do these thieves actually do with all these knickers? I don't get it. Do they wear them? Why don't they just buy some knickers from M and S instead of stealing them... I just don't get it.

    People You Thought Were Dead

I was watching one of my most loved sci-fi movies last week, The Black Hole. I got to thinking about how much i enjoy Ernest Borgnine's performance in this and many other movies and how sad it was that he'd passed away in the mists of the early nineties. I googled it to find out how and when he...

Ah, yes, thank you for correcting my errors. Haunted Or Cursed Films?

I believe it is an unfortunate fact of life that celebrity death is big, big business. It sells magazines, it creates "Best of" Dvd's and Cd's that sell, sell and sell some more. It makes for sensationalist news reports watched by millions, it makes fantastically morbid "His/Her" last hours/last...

Well i'm certain it's a human voice, probably female and probably arabic in origin, but whatever, it sounds fantastic and is just the kind of sound I was looking for in an atmospheric piece of music i'm writing for television.
