    Oops! The Silly Mistakes Thread

I did a similar thing in Singapore I was crossing under a flyover, a route I had gone before in daytime, but this time it was night and I'd forgotten about the concrete open drain in the middle that I strode into. I immediately realised my mistake and managed to sort of get my hands out but...

A Penny For Your Thoughts: Strange Change

Not only are you right you are also correct. I also remember that the old sixpence piece was still used for a while as it was worth two and a half pence. Initially there seemed to be a lot of prices that were '... and a half p' People would also use the whole phrase when talking about prices...

I'm quite partial to venison so no problem there. Bear, I haven't eaten but have seen, at a hot spring resort somewhere, tinned bear meat.

Spy Murder 'Too Sensitive For Court'

Ah, the voice of experience. I was told a story by someone who said that a bondage fan they ...er ... played with once, asked to be handcuffed to the radiator and be left alone in the flat while the other person went out for the night. Apparently the thrill came from the antici...

When I lived in Hong Kong I had a job co-presenting a kids radio programme, broadcast every Saturday from 10.00am to noon. The studios were in Kowloon and I lived on Lantau Island. Doctor Who [Spoilers]

Pandacracker points in no particular order: I like that Dr Who is inclusive, although the explanation of binary/non binary was a bit sledgehammery. The UNIT agent's weaponised wheelchair was great. If that means that a child fan of the programme who uses a wheelchair can now join in the...

    Doctor Who [Spoilers]

As I say, it has great potential storywise. We could even have the Doctor in a position where he has a chance to stop Davros creating the Daleks (by killing him or some other maguffin) so has a moral dilemma to sort out before the episode ends.

Whatever RTD says are the reasons for doing so, going back to a time before Davros's enwheelchairment is a great storyline for a character that has a time machine and often bumps into old foes.
