the weekend of the 9th and 10th october 2010 sounds good to me and would please the people who complain about halloween uncons. although if it was the 23rd and 24th it would be a full moon :shock: :lol:

not a definitive answer but considering the last three uncons have been every other year i doubt it will be this year. next year sometime my money is on.

also... if you have killed off your boot sector, boot up with the xp disc, choose r at the first chance to, then at the prompt type:- fixboot and hit enter.

also if you want to wipe the salvaged drive you could pop in a boot disc and format it. safest way to do it is to not have the main drive plugged in at all then you can't wipe the wrong one :wink:

in the bios there is sometimes an option to choose which hdd boots first, and i don't mean in the standard boot option order. have a dig around.

they generally do have an advert in them as a picture for pills or porn, and even if they haven't they are trying to get through spam filters.
