While at UnCon'04, I happened to comment to fellow FTMBers that I rather enjoyed Ken Campbell when he played Alf Garnetts neighbour in In Sickness and In Health.
This matter-of-fact comment caused not-a-few blank looks and one or two light-hearted jockularities at my allegation.
It's only just occured to me to check my memory and see if my mind was playing me false.
Ah ha! It was not!
Ken Campbell, doyenne of all things Fort, did indeed play a regular part in the Alf Garnett series ... as Fred Johnson. If I recall, Fred was always delighting in winding up Garnett, especially in the episodes leading up to Garnett and his holiday to Australia with Mrs. Hollingbury.

At least I know I am vindicated and can hold my virtual head high ... even though said FTMBers have probably forgotten it by now.
