As I'm not at all sure what to make of this, presumed sensible to keep separate.

Essentially, an article published by the Pall Mall Gazette, London, on 20 January, 1880, under the thread heading..

An early, 'contactee'?

Honestly not sure I have the gist of it at all.

This is a review of the science fiction novel Across the Zodiac, by Percy Greg.
Amazing! Thanks so much, I have never heard of it before.

I intend to follow this up, sounds fascinating and note your thoughtful Wikipedia reference states:

"The book contains what was probably the first alien language in any work of fiction".
