Alien-Like Maria Statue (Street-Art?)

I'm sure I saw this on another forum before, but I couldn't find it on the FTMB.

Last July I saw this statuette in the Mariastraat (Merriejestraot) in Maastricht (.nl). Somehow it didn't look right. I suspect it's "street art" but I was unable to find any information on Google.

My guess is early to mid 20th century stylized 'modern' motif.
