Next article idea. Wiltshire pub ghosts.

Heaven knows there are a lot of haunted pubs in the county...

I was going to write on Wiltshire pubs but lets face it; lots of nice ones.

Picking a category is an idea Why not ghosts? (its that or dolorous names...)

I myself have never experienced a ghost and tend to the agnostic.

How do I write about it in a decent way? The Red Lion in Avebury is haunted by ghost hunters...

There are far too many almanac style ghost books, if you go to this pub on this day, it is said you will see this ghost, bla bla bla bla.

I would suggest your own investigations, write from a personal point of view.

Oh, I will go for a meal and experiential work.

I want a good ambience pub.

(The other catagorisation I am considering is pubs older than 500 years)

I'd suggest doing a survey / tour to familiarize yourself with Wiltshire pubs as a first pass (and first article), then a second pass / article delving deeper into the ghost stories associated with selected pubs you surveyed on the first pass.

The first pass provides a basis for selecting which ones to cover on the second pass.

Thats sound advice.

Maybe I should simply ask for a pub with ambience.

Which is a place where you can imagine Hobbits patronise...the food and drink is up to their standards too...But its in Deepest Devon.

(Highly recommended, IMHO)
