Bakewell Tart in Spaaaaaace

As a point of order - having been brought up close to the eponym of the foodstuff in question, and knowing how high emotions can run on the subject, I feel I ought to point out that a Bakewell tart is a very different bucket of lard to a Bakewell pudding.

Last time I visited there were at least two places which claimed to be making Bakewell pudding to the original secret recipe (basically, I think, eggs...and then more eggs + sugar...and some egg). The matter is hotly contested, and until a UN Resolution is reached on the matter I think it best not to go throwing tarts into the argument.

(And an effigy of Mr Kipling is burned every midsummers eve in the old market place.)

Sounds like I better change the thread title...
