I was looking through some old magazines on-line and found the following reference; of course, "Bentwaters" caught my attention, for other Fortean reasons
The RAF officer ghost in the former mortuary rings a bell. I seem to remember something similar on the 'Nursing Ghost Stories' site that's mentioned on'ere now and then.
FWIW ... I found references to 3 named ghosts associated with Bentwaters and / or the nearby Woodbridge base:
- Peg Leg Pete (mentioned in relation to Bentwaters)
- East End Charlie (mentioned in relation to both bases, but described differently at each base)
- Lady Without a Face (mentioned in relation to a road connecting the two bases)

The website is defunct, but its content can be accessed at the Wayback Machine. Unfortunately, the MIA website's search function was handled by an outboard service and was lost.
