Bizarre Incidents Of Beheading / Decapitation

In Germany, one method of beheading was the Fallbrett, where a wooden plank was hammered down in a frame to shear the neck away. Worked as well as a blade.

If a hangman makes the drop too long, the head can be torn from the body.

There are worse ways to die.

Canada police confirm head find

Police in Canada are investigating the discovery of a female head in a river near Toronto.

It comes a day after hikers nearby found a human foot - the toe nails of which had been painted in yellow polish.

Police recovered the head on Thursday in the Credit river at a park in Mississauga, Ontario.

They suspect the body parts come from the same person, although that has yet to be confirmed.

"Obviously, we consider it as foul play, and we are treating it as such," police spokesman Randy Cowan told reporters. "We'll be looking for the entire victim," he added.

The grim discoveries come a month after a human head was found in a Montreal park.

It belonged to a Chinese student who was killed and dismembered in May. Some of his other body parts were posted to schools and political parties.

Luka Magnotta, a former porn actor, was arrested in Berlin and deported to Canada to face trial for the student's murder.

New Jersey decapitation attack involved PCP-laced pot
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-20599221

A New Jersey woman who decapitated her two-year-old son and then killed herself had smoked PCP-laced marijuana, toxicology results show.

Chevonne Thomas, 34, of Camden, took the drugs then killed her son and put his head in a freezer in August.

She had suffered from mental illness and twice lost custody of her son because of drug use.

It is the second time PCP-laced marijuana has been linked to a killing involving young children in the city.

In September, Osvaldo Rivera is said to have been high on the drug cocktail as he allegedly killed a six-year-old boy and slit his 12-year-old sister's throat - she survived.

Camden County Prosecutor's office released the toxicology results for Chevonne Thomas on Monday.

Judge, three relatives found beheaded in Ukraine’s Kharkov
http://rt.com/news/judge-decapitated-uk ... urder-126/

The decapitated bodies of a judge and his family were found at their home in one of the biggest Ukrainian cities of Kharkov on Saturday, police said. The heads were missing from the scene of the crime, which was discovered by shocked relatives.

Victims of the graphic murder were discovered at the apartment of Vladimir Trofimov, 58, who had served as a city district judge for over 30 years.
“The murder took place in the morning, four bodies are decapitated,” police said on Saturday.

The victims' heads, however, were missing from the scene. Local media report the horrific discovery was made by a relative who called police at around 13:00 pm (11:00 GMT). He identified the bodies as judge Trofimov, the judges’ wife, 59, their son, who was in his 30s, and his 29-year-old girlfriend.

“We do not exclude Trofimov’s professional activity as a motive which led to the crime. But we are also looking into other possible motives,” Kharkhov District police chief Viktor Kozitsky said.

Other possible motives include burglary, since Trofimov was a vigorous collector of coins which were famous even outside Ukraine. He also collected fine china and military decorations. Police say some pieces from his collection appear to be missing.

Trofimov is survived by his 90-year-old father and 86-year-old mother.
The murder occurred on the day that Ukrainian court workers celebrate their professional holiday.

Kharkov is Ukraine’s second-largest city and is located in the country’s east. It was one of four Ukrainian cities to host UEFA’s major football tournament Euro 2012.

Underworld identity linked to Rottnest head investigation

THE MAN'S HEAD WAS FOUND WRAPPED IN A PLASTIC BAG AT ROTTNEST ISLAND ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 6. PERTHNOW

WA POLICE say they are still not in a position to officially release the name of the man whose severed head was found at Rottnest Island last week, amid media reports today it could be that of a man in his mid 50s who is due to face court on drugs charges this week.

PerthNow understands that police handling the case are investigating the movements of Stephen Raymond Cookson, who is due to face court on Friday on serious drugs charges.

Mr Cookson, 54, has not been seen for several weeks but police said they would not reveal a name until family had been notified.

"As we have stated continuously police will not confirm the identity of the person until next of kin are notified," a police spokesperson said.

Mr Cookson is listed to appear in the District Court this Friday for a "trial listing hearing" on one count of possession of a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply, namely methylamphetamine.

According to court documents, his solicitor for that matter is well-known criminal lawyer Linda Black.

But Ms Black told PerthNow Mr Cookson was no longer a client of hers and the case had been passed onto another lawyer.

Major Crime Squad detectives confirmed last week they had identified the severed head, which was found at Rottnest Island last Sunday afternoon.

Police say the head belonged to that of a Caucasian man aged between 30 and 60.

The severed head was found by an 11-year-old girl while she was with her family at Porpoise Bay.

Dozens of police officers spent the weekend at the Quattro apartment complex on Hay Street in East Perth where it's understood the severed head victim lived.

Police started sifting through the apartment for clues and asking other residents from the complex for information from about 4pm on Friday.

Police, who are treating the matter as a murder, say the man had a moustache and a beard.

He was also missing seven upper front teeth.

It is believed the teeth had been missing for several years and police described his other teeth as being in a bad state.

Detectives have been consulting with experts and the state pathologist since the head was found.

They also have collected CCTV from the apartment complex and nearby businesses including the Carlton Hotel.

It is also understood that police have not yet found the other body parts and it is not known where the victim died.

They have not ruled out that the plastic bag was dumped at Rottnest rather than washing ashore.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Two charged in Hong Kong couple 'fridge' murder
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-21826376

Two men have appeared in court in Hong Kong charged with the murder of an elderly couple whose heads were said to have been found in a refrigerator.

One of the men was reportedly the son of the couple, both in their 60s.

Neither he or the other man charged entered a plea when they appeared in court on Monday, local media say.

The couple's older son reported them missing on 9 March. Police are still searching for their missing body parts, with some found at an apartment.

The son, 29, and the other man, 35, were charged with two counts of murder on Sunday, police say.

The younger son had told police the couple were on their way to China, but suspicions were raised when no records of them leaving were found, the South China Morning Post reported.

"The investigation continues on the motive of the case," a police spokeswoman was quoted by Agence-France Presse news agency as saying.

They believe the couple's other body parts have been disposed of into the sea near the apartment, but divers have been unable to retrieve any so far.

Two other murders also shook Hong Kong over the weekend.

Woman’s Pickled Head Found in Public Toilet, Brother Accused of Murder
http://firsttoknow.com/womans-pickled-h ... -murder-2/
MAR 20 2013 by Mariam Jehangir

Why would someone murder his sister? Why would someone pickle a dead person’s head? Why would someone leave it in the toilet?

Those are some of the questions rising out of a perplexing story involving a Taiwanese man who has been arrested on suspicion of killing his sister, pickling her head and leaving it in a public toilet.

Prior to the 36-year-old woman’s death, her brother “purchased at least four insurance policies for [her] that would give him substantial sums in the event of her death” according to The Daily Mail.

This and a few other facts points to Chen Chia-fu, the 37-year-old brother, as the chief suspect in the case.

The woman went missing in December, but her remains weren’t found until a note matching Chia-fu’s handwriting was sent to the police detailing the location of the body and asking for a ‘proper burial.’

That’s when they discovered the head, rubbed with several layers of salt and wrapped in a plastic bag. The rest of the body has yet to be found.

Chia-fu was taken into custody after police found surveillance video footage of him “carrying [bags of] unidentified objects,” reports NewStraitsTimes.

The siblings lived in Taipie, which is in the Northern tip of Taiwan, but the footage showed him in Chiayi, a southern city. The police suspect him of taking a train to dispose of her head in a secure location.

For his part, the suspect denies any involvement with his sister’s murder.

South Yorkshire Police said Ms Ramzan had suffered a severe knife attack, including the severing of her head.

Aras Hussein, of Herries Road, was remanded in custody by Sheffield magistrates to appear at the crown court on Thursday.

He has also been charged with assaulting five people at Sheffield's Northern General Hospital, where he was taken following his arrest.

Brazilian referee beheaded by spectators after he fatally stabs player.

http://m.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/j ... abs-player

Police in northern Brazil say one man has been arrested after a referee who fatally stabbed a player during a match was decapitated by spectators who stormed the field.
Local reports said the incident, which took place on 30 June in the remote Brazilian town of Pio XII, escalated when the player, 30-year-old Josenir dos Santos, became involved in an argument with the referee, Octavio da Silva.
As the confrontation became physical and Dos Santos refused to leave the field, Da Silva allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the player, who died while being taken to hospital.
Reports said that outraged spectators responded by running on to the field and stoning Da Silva, before severing his head and sticking it on a stake in the middle of the field.q

Cheshire police seek staffordshire bull terrier suspected of biting off dog's head

Warrington family post picture on Twitter of blood-stained woman struggling to control terrier after pomeranian was decapitated

The Guardian. Ben Quinn, 7 July 2013

Police are investigating an incident in which a dog, thought to be a staffordshire bull terrier allegedly attacked and bit the head off another family's pet pomeranian.

A photograph of a bloodied dog owner struggling to control the animal was posted on social media by Gemma Antell, a mother of three from Warrington who says that her pomeranian, Elvis, was decapitated by what police believe was a white staffordshire bull terrier.

"If it was capable of doing that to another dog then you would have to be afraid for what it could potentially do to a child's arm, or worse," said Antell.

The incident happened outside the home of her mother-in-law on Saturday when the larger dog was said to have pulled its owner into the front garden of the house and attacked the other animal. Several young children were present at the time and the photograph was taken by the father of a four-year-old girl.

Antell added: "It was all the more shocking due to the fact that the woman who had the dog, and a man who was with her, just walked away.

"The dog just spat out the head of Elvis on the street."

"I don't believe that there are bad breeds. Dogs do things because of the way their owners treat them, but this dog really needs to be located," added Antell, a blogger who has worked with dogs and cats at a kennels company.

Cheshire police said the force was investigating the incident and asked for any witnesses or others who knew the whereabouts of the dog to call them on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously.

Just awful.

I have a Staffordshire, and she's a lamb. If this was indeed a Staffie, it has to be put down, it's vicious. Some dogs are.

However, my experience of the breed is that they love children-once they were called Nanny Dogs, but they will fight with other dogs-many dogs will.

My sympathy to the owners, the loss of a dog is a cruel blow.

My dog is often attacked by dogs off the leash in public places, she never really hurts them, but she takes them down, then walks off as the other dog runs away.

Leash your dog, and keep it away from other dogs until you know the temperment of the animal.

An uncle, an ex-miner, had a Staffodshire. He called it, 'Buster'. Immensely strong, and a bit over enthusiastic with humans. Used to knock me over when I was a kid. But really friendly. However, could not be brought into proximity with other dogs. My uncle's idea of disciplining poor Buster was thumping it on the head with the edge of his fist - it was a bit punch drunk.

Definitely a breed of dog that requires good training.

Edit: spelling.

'Be my disciple or else!' Thwack!

My dear girl is very gentle with humans, and the sight of a child makes her roll on her back.

She tolerates friendly dogs, but is a fierce fighter if attacked.

Staffies are known for great strength, the often compete in weight pulling trials and win. They are noted obedience competitors as well.

All the bully breeds have been bred to be less fierce-save for the dogs bred in secret for fighting. Even the Rottweiler, a dog noted for savagery for many years is becoming a family pet.

Dogs are our oldest animal friends, we should be good to them.

Japan: Schoolgirl arrested for beheading classmate 0
BY DESCRIER STAFF ON JULY 28, 2014 WORLD

A 15-year-old schoolgirl has been arrested in Japan on suspicion of strangling and beheading her classmate.

The suspect, whose named has been withheld, reportedly admitted to strangling Aiwa Matsuo before severing her head and left hand in a brutal attack in the city of Sasebo in southwest Japan, Kyodo news agency reported on Sunday.

The police quote her as saying:

“I did it all by myself”

Matsuo’s dismembered body was discovered on Sunday morning on a bed in the apartment of the suspect, who was living independently from her parents.

Police were alerted after Matsuo’s parents reported that she had not come home on Saturday night after going to see a friend.

The murder comes a decade after another shocking crime in the city, when an primary schoolgirl stabbed her classmate to death in 2004.

Sacked worker beheads woman before boss shoots him

A man sacked from an Oklahoma food processing plant beheaded a woman with a knife and was attacking another worker when he was shot by one of the bosses. Police in the Oklahoma City suburb of Moore are waiting for Alton Nolen, 30, to regain consciousness to arrest him over Thursday’s attack. They have asked the FBI to help investigate after co-workers at Vaughan Foods told authorities that Nolen had been trying to convert several employees to Islam.

Sgt Jeremy Lewis said Nolen severed the head of Colleen Hufford, 54, then stabbed Traci Johnson, 43, a number of times before Mark Vaughan, the company’s chief operating officer and also a reserve sheriff’s deputy, shot him. “This was not going to stop if he didn’t stop it. It could have gotten a lot worse,” Sgt Lewis said. “The threat had already stopped once we arrived.”

The horrific attacks took place after Nolen had been sacked in a building housing the company’s human resources department. Police said he then immediately drove to the main entrance of the business. ...

The boss fired him twice!

There is a technique called ''the butcher's cut'' that neatly detached the head.

It is done with an ordinary meat cutting knife, and involves no chopping.

Most meatcutters can do it. Processing a carcass requires it.

Severed animal heads are made into head cheese, cooked down or opened for the brains-much prized in some countires.

If this guy worked in a meat-house, cutting off a head would have been no challenge for him.

There was speculation that Jack the Ripper was a slaughterman-like a lot of the foolishness associated with that investigation, it was half-baked-I've seen photos of the ripper victims, and the knife work was far from artistic or neat-not the work of a surgeon or even a butcher-it was the frenzied hacking of a madman.

(For what it may be worth-and that's not much, I'm going to say Kosminski was the culprit-fear of a pogrom kept the authorities from naming him.)

First time I'd heard of that term. Trying to get the mental image out of my head.

"Head Cheese" was an early title for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - the movie about a dodgy slaughterhouse-owning family.

A sad, disturbing case.

A New York man with a history of psychiatric problems decapitated his mother, dragged her body into the street in front of their home and then killed himself by walking in front of an oncoming train, Long Island police said yesterday.

Neighbours initially took the woman’s killing as a macabre Halloween prank.

Patricia Ward, a 66-year-old professor, was killed on Tuesday night in her Farmingdale apartment just steps from a Long Island Rail Road station, Nassau County Police Detective Lieutenant John Azzata said.

Her 35-year-old son, Derek Ward, committed suicide several minutes later by walking in front of a commuter train approaching the station, Azzata said. ...

Today on Yahoo news, it is reported that trash haulers found two human skulls in a house they were clearing.

The house was the home of a deceased occultist-the haulers thought the skulls were plastic Halloween props.

It was discovered to be otherwise.

It is to be noted that human skulls were sold at flea markets and gun shows until recently.

Then some wuss got all shirty, and a slew of regulations were rammed on.

Spoilsport!
