A Florida woman was charged with failing to report her mother's death more than two months after the woman's body was found in a freezer in the home they shared.
The woman, 64, was arrested Thursday and also charged with tampering with evidence. Her 93-year-old mother's body was found after a welfare check was conducted in late April, according to the Sebastian Police Department's Facebook page. The daughter told investigators she bought the deep freezer and put her mother's body in it so she could keep receiving her disability payments.
The department said an investigation showed the woman died of natural causes and that she was dead for two weeks before her body was put in the freezer. ...

Man in Court over Body in Freezer Murder
By Lucy Rodgers, PA News
A 27-year-old man accused of murdering a victim whose body was found in a freezer was remanded in custody when he appeared in court today.
Matthew Sidney Roberts, of no fixed abode, spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth at Bath Magistrates’ Court during the short hearing.
Roberts, who was wearing a white hooded jump suit, navy blue T-shirt and navy blue jogging bottoms, is accused of murdering David Heal between January 3 and January 4 of this year.
Mr Heal, 64, was identified by his fingerprints after his body was discovered in the freezer of the bungalow where he lived in Oaklands, Paulton, near Bath, last Tuesday.
Roberts was arrested in connection with the death on Friday and was charged with murder on Monday night.
The case was sent to Bristol Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on Monday January 26.
Would have been better if police had caught him.
A Minnesota man found dead in a chest freezer of an empty home had been on the run from authorities and had used the vessel as a means to hide, police have revealed.
Brandon Lee Buschman, 34, was discovered in the freezer in the basement of the unoccupied home on June 26, according to the Gilbert Minnesota Police Department.
Buschman, from Babbit, had an active warrant out for his arrest and it is believed that he became stuck in the freezer after climbing into it. Witnesses confirmed with authorities that they last saw the man fleeing from the upstairs part of the home because of possible police presence in the area.

Mack lived in Pattaya with his Thai wife and worked as a real estate broker, according to local media reports. He had been a resident of Thailand for several years.
Tawee said police determined that a large amount of money was missing from Mack's bank account, which they suspect is linked to the slaying. The police chief refused to elaborate but said investigators were looking into several suspects, both German nationals and Thai.
Buschman took a metal rod into the freezer to poke through and pop the catch. He must've been sure this would work even though he couldn't test it from the outside. Gambled and lost.Would have been better if police had caught him.
