Jack Benny (son of immigrants from Lithuania and Poland) in To Be or Not To Be. A great film.Ooooh, never heard of him!
I recently gave someone a gift of bottle of posh Polish vodka. She said 'Ohhh, this is nice! Smooth!'Don't forget their never-ending supply of Vodka and Zywiec beer!!
As long as it's served with orange juice, who cares! (Harvey Wallbanger!!)I recently gave someone a gift of bottle of posh Polish vodka. She said 'Ohhh, this is nice! Smooth!'
'Smooth' isn't what I'd call any make of vodka but each to their own, eh.
LOL - was wondering why I couldn't find him!Jack Benny (son of immigrants from Lithuania and Poland) in To Be or Not To Be. A great film.

Uh-oh. Looks like we're going off topic again.
Smooth Polish vodka ? Maybe the potato peelings were washed first.I recently gave someone a gift of bottle of posh Polish vodka. She said 'Ohhh, this is nice! Smooth!'
'Smooth' isn't what I'd call any make of vodka but each to their own, eh.
I was told the secret is to drink the spirit, then drink the orange or whatever straight away, before taking a breath. Letting air over your throat after the spirit is not a good idea.As long as it's served with orange juice, who cares! (Harvey Wallbanger!!)
Then don't ever try the Polish Spirytus - it's homemade liquor, that will take your breath away!I was told the secret is to drink the spirit, then drink the orange or whatever straight away, before taking a breath. Letting air over your throat after the spirit is not a good idea.
I was given a bottle of Polish pure spirit with these instructions. We put some in a Smirnoff bottle for someone who often took it neat. The results were instructive.
(We made sure it was a capital “P” on the label.)
A colleague of mine was given what I believe was that a while ago. He'd put it in a pop bottle for disguise.Then don't ever try the Polish Spirytus - it's homemade liquor, that will take your breath away!
If you can get it, try Zytnia (rye vodka) or Żubrówka (flavored with bison grass).I recently gave someone a gift of bottle of posh Polish vodka. She said 'Ohhh, this is nice! Smooth!'
'Smooth' isn't what I'd call any make of vodka but each to their own, eh.
Spirytus Rektyfikowany is literally pure grain alcohol, around 96% abv (although a 75.5 version is available). Drinking it straight can literally be fatal.Then don't ever try the Polish Spirytus - it's homemade liquor, that will take your breath away!
I just now realized this means you got the reference.Ooooh, never heard of him!
No, I honestly didn't!I just now realized this means you got the reference.
There's a running gag in the film where Tura, in disguise, makes reference to the great Joseph Tura, but no one ever heard of him.No, I honestly didn't!
This stuff is smooth.'Smooth' isn't what I'd call any make of vodka but each to their own, eh.
It's even worse with wines;
You're drinking the wrong stuff. Polish vodka can be very smooth. Wyborowa straight out the fridge is lovely.Smooth Polish vodka ? Maybe the potato peelings were washed first.
Woman smashes up alcohol worth £10,000 during racist tirade in Aldi, Stevenage, Herts;
I suppose people were afraid to get involved- being sued and/or getting injuries to themselves.And the other shoppers just filmed it instead of stopping the nutter?
I see Ms. Alvarez was fined £5,000 - just half of the damage she caused.
I'd evacuate the shop, lock the door and wait for the police to turn up.And the other shoppers just filmed it instead of stopping the nutter?
I see Ms. Alvarez was fined £5,000 - just half of the damage she caused.
There is a restaurant in town, which has put up a sign saying "Perhaps the coldest beers in town."
If the best you can say about your beers is that they are really cold, I'll go elsewhere I think.
The thing is, if I was in Australia and I'd been cycling all day (or working in a warehouse in Sydney, which I did for a few months), that's exactly what I'd look for.Perhaps they're really cold.
It's a play on Carlsberg's 'Probably the best lager in the world.'There is a restaurant in town, which has put up a sign saying "Perhaps the coldest beers in town."
The colder it is, the less it registers on the taste-buds and that could be a good thing.I know, but there is an optimum temperature. It's not better the colder it is.
