Just when I was complaining about the lack of exotic species in Ireland
Last Friday early morning commuters between Clara and Tullamore in the Irish Midlands were stunned by the sight of a camel calmly grazing along the roadside. Phone calls to the police ensued and they finally captured it and escorted it back to the visiting circus it had escaped from. This got quite a bit of coverage in the Irish papers and pictures. It was a bactrian camel.
