Nope @Ogdred Weary, I haven't looked at the Mirror website recently.
I did see that front page when I was out and about though.

Ah, another of the 'I woke up and I just knew there was a small child there - when I opened my eyes it was gone!' ghost stories. Dreams are going to come as a huge shock to him.

One doesn't imagine that a Chuckle Brother would be of great intellect.

'The Shape of Water director Guillermo del Toro has reported being disturbed by a supernatural presence while staying in a hotel in Scotland.

Del Toro, who is renowned for his films delving into the weird, spooky and occasionally horrific, posted a series of messages on social media saying that the room he had chosen in a hotel in Aberdeen has an “oppressive” atmosphere and that “something is in that room with me”.

The Mexican director said that he opted to stay in the room after it was vacated by one of his producers: “Odd electrical and physical occurrences scared her into leaving.” Welcoming the opportunity to experience a notoriously “haunted” room, Del Toro later reported: “Nothing has happened yet, but the atmosphere in the room is oppressive and I am not gonna spend much more time there.” He added that he had chosen to not to sleep in it: “I kept the room but am sleeping in another room – I need six hours of sleep to have a good shooting day...something is in that room with me.”'

I do recall hearing an interview with Roger Moore, probably some time in the 1980's, where he described an incident that he'd had with a ghost whilst staying at a hotel. My memory is a bit sketchy to say the least, but it was along the lines of him seeing an apparition in his hotel room whilst reading in bed at night. Despite his terror, he attempted to communicate with it but the apparition disappeared. The following night, exactly the same thing occurred. On the 3rd night, he went to his room and found a Bible on his bed that was opened at the 23rd Psalm and there was no visit from the ghost!

The mention of Roger Moore reminds me of one of my arguments against skeptics who like to remind Forteans that eyewitness are notoriously fallible. Back in 2004 (?) I was on the A380 headed up from Newton Abbot towards Exeter when it became congested on both sides and traffic slowed to about 30mph max. It was a sunny day and coming down on the opposite side in the outside lane was a red open-top Ferrari and what looked like a suave Roger Moore at the wheel. Got a good look at him for maybe three seconds and was convinced he was indeed Roger Moore.

Told a few people and basically got laughed at and it became the butt of some jokes at my expense. However, maybe six years later his name came up when was chatting to the people I was now working for. They had gone to a private school and Moore's daughter was in their year. They now ran the alumni association and so knew she was now based in Torbay, the direction he was driving in. So in alll likelihood it was Roger Moore that I saw drive past me.

He used to live just up the road from me from around 1958 to late 60s I think.
I often wonder if he would have come through here on his way down to London for filming.
