There was a brief video on the ITN news at ten that showed them bombing a cloud with their gunk. Several things occured to me when I saw it.
The bombing run produced an impressive white trail. Contrailish in appearance but wider and of short duration.
They claim that the gunk disperses or absorbs clouds, and cloud strangeness has been a feature of some contrail reports.
The residue, a 'harmless' clear gel falls to earth and breaks down. There have been reports of falls of 'stuff' in the recent past.
They are using an old Canberra bomber which is old enough to start ghost stories without all the gunkiness.
If they are going public with it now then it's a fair bet that they've been gunk bombing for a while. I still think it's the space aliens tho.
