Much as I love them, all cats are little Bastets at heart. And a little Bastet.

I'm afraid I don't get the reference, but for what it's worth, he's one of two dragons."No worries." Safe enough in your area with Drag the 'Mouse King' sitting upon your shelf!

All hail Bastet. She's awesome.I have also got a Bastet on my bookshelves. Next cat I have will be called Bastet. Well, it might well sound similar, as I shout it across the kitchen on finding the gory remains of another vole...
So all cats tell us.All hail Bastet. She's awesome.
We'll see...So Sharon Larkin-Snowden is back in the news:
Beast of Cumbria: 'Big cat and cub' spotted in Cumbrian countryside
"The post read: "Exciting news! We have had a few reports of a large black cat and her cub. Both look well and healthy. We now know her whereabouts (lair) and are setting up many trail cams in the vicinity in hope of capturing footage of mum and cub."

Okay, so we have been here before as I remember a big cat researcher who assured us Eurasian Lynx were living and breeding in a Dorset quarry but then nothing in the way of evidence was forthcoming. Perhaps Sharon did indeed find Panthera DNA on that sheep carcass or perhaps it was an intentional or unintentional hoax but making bold claims such as knowing the location of a big cat's lair means that evidence will need to be forthcoming soonish or it will be just another claim and nothing else.
Me neither, sadly.We'll see...
Not holding my breath for this one...
Not so, at least with regards seeing a Lynx years ago.Me neither, sadly.
Purely because, if there were any kind of large cat and its offspring out there, then other people know about it and farmers with guns will likely remove the evidence.
So it may be a fabrication, or a misidentification. I still think there are Big Cats out there, but not panthers and lynxes, I think we might be misidentifying the result of interspecies cat breeding. There are so many versions of large house cat available now that we might not recognise, say, the unwanted offspring of a Maine Coon and Bengal...
Sorry, yes, I really meant that I don't believe there are massive breeding populations of ABCs out in the wild. I firmly believe that there are isolated individuals. Not so, at least with regards seeing a Lynx years ago.
