I'd forgotten that verse!

I usually eat it with a thick slice of ham. I think it's also eaten in a stottie cake up north, a stottie cake being a sort of round flat bread.

A shop opened near me called The Stottie Shop. I went in and it was just an ordinary sandwich shop with ordinary sliced bread and rolls.
I didn’t hesitate to tell them what a Stottie actually is.
