Watch the film! Obey the giant!

Finally got the DVD in today's post, took quite a while for shipping from the US. Will post a review when I've watched it, looks interesting from the clips I've seen,

The documentary film series, “A Hobbit, a Wardrobe, and a Great War,” explores how the experience of two world wars shaped the lives and literary imagination of two internationally famous authors and friends, J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. Based on Joseph Loconte’s New York Times bestseller, the film examines how Tolkien’s combat experience during the First World War—at the Battle of the Somme—launched him on his literary quest. The film reveals how the conflict reinforced Lewis’s youthful atheism—he was injured in combat—but also stirred his spiritual longings. The film traces the careers of both men at Oxford University, and their deepening friendship as they discover a mutual love of medieval, romantic literature. Facing the threat of another world war, Tolkien and Lewis reach back into their earlier experience of war as they compose their epic works of fantasy, The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia.

Chesley Bonestell was an architect and painter who worked on the Golden Gate Bridge and the Chrysler Building. He worked on famous movies like Citizen Kane as a matte artist, and his mesmerizing paintings of planets and star systems helped inspire America's space program. Why is it that no one knows who he is today? Now an official selection for the 2018 Newport Beach Film Festival! For more information about this film, go to www.chesleybonestell.com

Here's an episode from series 3 but I bet there are more about. The earlier ones are more documentary, the later are more plays.
this is like the background to a ghost story known in Wapping which isn't quite what it seems.
Features famous Ghost Hunter Andrew Green! Those interested in the power of suggestion should concentrate on the last 5-10 minutes.

Also I found "mystery map" which was on ITV, which sounds like light-hearted viewing

Another Leap in the Dark - about dreaming the racing results

and a film about lucid dreaming

My latest guilty pleasure: "The Ghost Inside My Child" - it's an American series about people whose children say weird stuff that makes them sound like they've been reincarnated. It's not as bad as it sounds. Ok it's not exactly done in a spirit of scepticism. But it's basically just the parents talking about their experience. So it could be worse.
quite a few here

In my defence I don't want soap operas or talent shows. So I figure I've got some crap tv tokens to spend.

and am really starting to wonder! Despite being utterly unreligious and well aware of how tiny and insignificant we are in the universe. Whether there might not be something in it sometimes. That'd be a bit mad though.
