This Napa company is making wine in penis-shaped bottles

and selling them under the brand name: "Just the Tipsy"

work warning, there's a photo of the bottle

https://www.sfgate.com/wine/article/napa-penis-shaped-wine-just-the-tipsy-16461690.php
From the article,
"We were a couple of dads at a park, watching our kids on the playground, talking about the ridiculous number of bachelorette parties our wives had attended, and the incredible amount of penis tattoos, penis cups, penis straws, penis everything that was involved,"

This in itself is a disturbing image, let alone the crappy wine in a cock bottle.

Man shoots gun at local hotel after seeing “aliens”

Richmond Police report that a bizarre shots fired call led to multiple charges for a Waco man. According to RPD, on September 11, early in the morning, they responded to a local hotel on Keeneland Drive in reference to a report of gunfire.

Officers quickly arrived and discovered shots were being fired from a hotel window. Officers worked to get patrons out of the hotel and secured them in a safe location nearby, according to police.

The Richmond Police Emergency Response Unit was called to the scene and made contact with a male inside the room who was later identified as 55 year old Samuel Riddell of Waco. Police continue they learned that Riddell occupied the room with a female who secured herself in the bathroom until police safely got her out.

Riddell was eventually taken into custody and later interviewed by detectives, where he told police that he “observed aliens in the parking lot and was shooting at them”.

Terrible headline.

I assumed he was shooting at the hotel, not shooting from the hotel into the car-park.

Try: Man Shoots at 'Aliens' at local hotel.

Teen gets USB cable stuck in penis in backfired attempt to measure length

A teen underwent emergency surgery after an attempt to measure his manhood resulted in him getting a bizarre object lodged in his urethra.
He backed up his hard drive — and his penis.

A UK teen had to undergo emergency surgery after a bananas attempt to measure his manhood resulted in him getting a USB cable lodged in his urethra.

The phallic fiasco reportedly began after an unnamed 15-year-old boy was “triggered by sexual curiosity” and inserted a USB wire into his urethra, per a wince-worthy study published in the medical journal Urology Case Reports.

The sexperiment backfired when the cable became lodged in the curious teen’s scrotum like an electronic catheter. Despite attempts to extract it himself, the USB cord became tangled so terribly that both ends were left hanging out of his wired willy.

Anne Frank’s Israeli classmate behind popular breast-inspired fidget toy

https://www.timesofisrael.com/anne-franks-israeli-classmate-created-popular-toy-inspired-by-breasts

"“She said, ‘Theo, imagine a large field of breasts, ladies’ breasts, that you can push the nipple,'” the couple’s son, Boaz Coster, told BBC. “She was very open, she said whatever was on her mind, to anyone… She went to him and she said, do a carpet of nipples that you can press from one side to the other. And he did just that.”"

Scientists Intrigued By Strange Blobs On Uranus

Researchers believe that mushy blobs on Uranus are hiding lots of gas.

More specifically, scientists have discovered that “mushballs,” large slushy hailstones made of ammonia and water, might be causing an odd atmospheric phenomenon on Uranus. The mushballs, which are also present on Neptune, might be carrying ammonia into the two planets’ atmosphere and hiding the gas from detection.

Piles more info here.

When I was younger I often played Draughts with my Granddad (now that's a game). I wonder what he would have made of this.

Manassas Public Schools use robots to fight COVID-19 in classrooms

Less Terminator and more portable UV-C light generator.

https://www.nbc12.com/2021/09/16/manassas-public-schools-use-robots-fight-covid-19-classrooms/

"ADIBOT systems can provide 360-degree radiant light coverage of powerful UV-C,’s which is a natural wavelength of ultraviolet light usually blocked by the planet’s ozone.

In an empty room with the simple press of a remote, this portable tower of technology hums to life with a brilliant burst of natural UV-C light destroying pathogens on any surface in a matter of minutes depending on the interval of exposures. UBTECH says that the light from ADIBOT is strong enough to kill anything it touches from COVID-19 in the air or on surfaces, to black mold, but is also sensitive enough not to penetrate through surfaces like glass.

The robot is also equipped with intelligent safety features including the use of “risk mitigation” cameras, PIR sensors, sensor-enabled safety signage, and an emergency remote control."

I saw a segment on, I think, BBC news' 'Click' about this tech, what concerned me is that anything not in direct view, or in shade, such as under chairs, desks and tables, the light wont reach/kill the pathogens.

Plus, unless it's on all the time the light won't kill any air borne pathogens wafting from student to student. :(

His lawyer Leon van Kleef said it was "like a bad movie, a nightmare that my client has found himself in".

He continued: "Imagine one moment you are having a bite to eat and the next you are sat in a maximum-security Dutch prison."
Did this highly trained Dutch professional really make such a typically British grammatical error? Hmm?

More of a badly punctuated headline than a Fortean story per se, but I had to read it two or three times before I worked out what was meant.

Thankfully, it was not that an elderly former crew member of the life boat who had been dragged through the streets.

The addition of a hyphen between hand and pulled would have made it clear that someone had hand-pulled an old lifeboat through the streets.

Turkish man joins search party .... for himself.

Beyhan Mutlu got separated from his friends whilst walking through a forest and, unbeknown to him, was reported missing.
Noticing several people tramping methodically through the forest some time later, Mutlu asked them what they were doing and agreed to join the search party for a missing person.
It was only much later, when he heard his fellow searchers calling his name, that he realised the object of the search was himself.
Glad he managed to find himself. How many of us can say that?

Hmm, if she intends to go to Jupiter's moons, she will need to be on good terms with someone who has access to space rockets.
