Killer Whales Have Been Squeezing Sharks To Death Like Toothpaste For Their Livers

-----------
Two decades later, the beached corpses of five great white sharks appeared in South Africa. All of their livers were missing — with nearly surgical precision, and mystifying accuracy. Jorgensen and his team had already hypothesized how this happens, and how frequently, of course.

“It’s like squeezing toothpaste,” explained Jorgensen, in reference to the cooperative bashing of sharks that the orcas engage in.

Killer Whales misnamed as they are actually of the dolphin family.
But we knew that.

Interesting detail. Such things appear at times like these:

A gang set up a fake “Indian Premier League” tournament with farm labourers acting as players to dupe Russian punters in a betting scam reminiscent of the 1973 film The Sting.
......

They installed a cricket pitch, complete with “boundary lines and halogen lamps”, Insp Bhavesh Rathod told reporters. “Besides this the accused had set up high-resolution cameras on the ground and used computer generated graphics to display scores on a live streaming screen.”

Oklahoma Man claims Bigfoot made him kill his fishing partner:

Oklahoma Man Says Bigfoot Made Him Kill His Fishing Partner, Police Say

A day out hand fishing for catfish on the South Canadian River in Pontotoc County, Oklahoma, has turned into a murder investigation after a man claims Bigfoot forced him to kill his friend.

Larry Sanders, 53, stands charged with first-degree murder after allegedly admitting first to a family member and later to police to killing his noodling fishing partner Jimmy Knighten, who Sanders claimed wanted him dead by the hand of the mythical monster Bigfoot. Noodling is a popular fishing technique used in the southern United States to catch a fish by sticking one’s hand in its mouth.

The local sheriff, John Christian, told local media that Sanders “appeared to be under the influence of something” when he told police he had struck, strangled, and then drowned Knighten.

“So, his statement was that Mr. Knighten had summoned ‘Bigfoot’ to come and kill him, and that’s why he had to kill Mr. Knighten,” Christian told local reporters.

Update:

Two men have appeared before Carlow Circuit Criminal Court charged with deception and fraud of a post office last January involving the pension of a deceased pensioner.

Declan Haughney, 40, of Pollerton Road, Carlow allegedly took the body of his dead uncle 66-year-old Peadar Doyle, to a nearby post office to claim his pension payment. Gardaí believe the pensioner, who was an uncle of Mr Haughney, was already dead when he was taken into the post office.

A previous sitting of Carlow District Court in May, Detective Garda Kieran Shields gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution of Mr Haughney

The defendant was further charged with attempted deception and of attempted theft at Hosey’s post office and shop, Staplestown Road, Carlow on January 21st last. ...

Red supergiant stars 'dance' because they have too much gas

Scientists can finally explain why some massive stars appear to dance around in the sky even though they are not actually moving: The stars have unusually bubbly guts that cause their surfaces to wobble, thus changing the amount of light they give off, according to a new study.
