On the train right now so can't get into youtube to post a link.

Have been enjoying some of the stuff on the UnchartedX channel, a lot of it around the idea that pre-dynastic egyptians had high technology.

Interesting food for thought, esp. when modern craftsmen would struggle to make some of the items today.

Here's the channel intro video to serve as a gateway:

At last, risen from the past like some slumbering saurian, the owlman movie. Filmed 20 years ago on zero budget. I except zero blame for this film! I thought it was a serious docu-drama when i got involved, sort of like The Wicker Man meets Arthur C Clark's Mysterious world. I was wrong. Watch at your own peril.

Pretty sophisticated f/X for 1928 .. more impressive than the lobster raping Divine scene

Incipit Vita Nova (1992) by Hardi Volmer - an Estonian stop-motion animated short about a former-Soviet man diving headfirst into Western culture.

I meant to say, maybe the interesting thing about the Honolulu videos above is a cross-cultural element - there's a policewoman who has moved from mainland USA to Hawaii, but she still sees the types of ghosts that are presumably expected by the island culture. There are a lot of women in white (although I guess we have those in England to an extent) for example. Plus of course there's the implication that the police are good observers and wouldn't tell fibs. I recommend!

This morning I am watching some British films about UFOs. I like these because they're old and British so don't really have the sensationalist vibe of lots of things on youtube, and there's no irritating music. Just down to earth British folk telling you what they saw. Plus some more international discussions and a trip to area 51. Peaceful... (you may not believe it all, but it's certainly interesting)

This one is a bit creepy but, it made me laugh so hard that I have tears in my eyes.

Fair warning, there is a lot of harsh language. Probably NSW.

Not YouTube but an odd little Japanese film I've started watching.

Many Happy Returns (1993)
by Toshihiro Tenma

A passer-by joins a cult despite knowing they're frauds and ultimately begins believing in its teachings.

https://archive.org/details/kyousotanjoutenmatoshihiro1993

Hit 'CC" to turn on English subtitles.

Edit. A better synopsis. It's a 'kind of comedy'.

The film version of Kitano Takeshi's novel Kyoso Tanjo is about a contemporary social problem: the great popularity of new religious groups. The story describes the everyday activities of such a new sect and investigates the existence of God and the meaning of religion for people, seen through the eyes of a young man who previously had no religious feelings whatsoever. One day Kazuo Takayama meets, on his way home, the recruiters of a new sect. He already knows something about them, for instance about their use of tricks in their 'performances' and fake converts. He becomes interested in the dirty-tricks side of sect and somehow feels attracted to the group. The old man who is called the founder of the sect is in reality controlled from behind the scenes by supervisor Shima, who has complete control over the group. When one day the 'founder' acts slightly too independently, Shima decides to replace him by a new leader and who would be better than Kazuo, the new member? Karen Regelman wrote in Variety: 'An atypical modern Japanese film that comes as a surprise for both what it is (a slow, thoughtful look at religion and spirituality) and what it isn't (melodramatic, romantic, violent)'. Director Toshihiro Tenma has been assistant to Kitano Takeshi, who plays in Many Happy Returns the role of the manipulating supervisor of the sect.

New fortean series on youtube. Only seen the first episode so far.
First episode of Hellier was interesting then it took a nose dive into utter banality. I couldn't finish watching episode five.
I watched the summary of the case presented on Bedtime Stories. I concluded that it's most likely a hoax perpetrated by Greg Newkirk (the production lead) on "Planet Weird". I posted some of my reasoning in the thread about it in the Ufology forum. https://forums.forteana.org/index.php?threads/kelly-hopkinsville-goblins-are-back.49285/ What I posted there is rather longwinded, even though it's not every reason I find the incident suspect.
Has anyone on here come across this channel on Youtube? Its a UK production, and the narration is thoughtfully done and the artwork is incredible.

The narration on Bedtime Stories is quite good, and the artwork is... usually good, I'm not as sold on their standards for research though. I'm probably going to post my own thread on that later.
Yes, been onto that for a year or so now. Always HQ.
if you like that yuotube channel, check out Beyond Creepy, Merc, Lutch Green, and IMO the best of this genre ~ The Paranormal Scholar.
Interesting, got links?

Horror Express (1973) A yeti, frozen in ice turns out to be possesed by an alien force that drains peaples intelligence out through the eyes and can ressurect the dead is running amok on the Trans-Siberian Express. Runs just like a Jon Pertwee / Tom Baker Doctor Who story.

Four cousins who have never met are invited by their Great-Grandmother Christophe to visit her mansion outside of Atlanta. When they arrive, they learn she has just died. They stay to hear the reading of her will and soon are being killed off one-by-one with voodoo magic. The survivors try to find the killer before he finishes them all off.

I'll put in a recommendation for TRUTHSTREAM MEDIA. They specialise in hidden history, anti-corporate meta-politics, drugs, mind control and conspiracy, but that's not everything. I could provide a link through any of their videos (usually very well produced), but I may as well post this one that I'm halfway through:

The Real Secrets Hidden In Antarctica:

Here are a few others:

This last one is bonkers: insulting and praising rice?
Latest video from this team is quite interesting.
