FT454

Arrived before 10am:

Arthur Lowe's lost X-files
The strange case of Tattarisuo Finland
Rendlesham Forest new doc with 'new evidence'
Lots of drones
Edinburgh ghosts

Before anyone says 'I wasn't expecting FT yet', remember theres a five week gap from the Christmas issue to January then only three weeks to February.
HOWEVER the publication schedule does creep forward by a day or two each year so that February 2020 was delivered on 25 January.

Finally looks like my postman is getting up early again. Dropped thru the door at 10.00 this morning.
On the cover.
Captain Mainwaring, Paranormal Investigator
Baltic Black Magic
Quantum Grammar Nazis.
And loads more inside.

you beat me by two minutes! - I had to explain the calendar

I noticed a background detail in "Phenomenonix" is that Gully very carelessly prangs a parked UFO, then has to drive off in a hurry before anyone notices. The street sign in the background says "Douglas Road" and I'm wondering - as these things tend not to happen by accident - if there's a Douglas Road somewhere in the UK with Fortean significance. So far I've discovered three Douglas Roads in the Greater Manchester area and one in London. (I'm assuming if it were the London one, the street nameplate would have "NW6" on it in red, as per standard. A quick Google reveals nothing of interest in this location, anyway). Investigations proceed.

With Arthur Lowe, rehearsing for a part in the Human Centipede on the cover, who could resist this issue? I know I didn't but should have . . .

My REPLACEMENT copy just arrived, the second replacement in four issues, i live in London, not Dublin -by -the -bog or some god forsaken North Norfolk seaside town.

That's weird. I lived for a while in Blakeney, which is as Gods-forsaken North Norfolk as you'll find anywhere, and the local shop had no difficulty at all in sourcing FT every month...
