Haunted & Cursed Ships

There was a case of a haunted U-Boat U-65 in WW1
there's a belief that once a boat or ship gets a taste for blood nothing will cure it. ...

The U-65 posts have been incorporated into this thread. According to prior postings the U-65 story was debunked.

Will have to look out for it, local liberty dont have a copy.

That's a weird story in itself: the body was found apparently a week after his death, although it was completely mummified as if it had been there much longer. Somebody must be wrong!

Stow the woo factor - he'd been dead more than any week ...

It can be proven that Bajorat had been dead more than a week before the widely publicized discovery of his semi-sunken yacht off the Philippines.

The news stories on the Philippines discovery began appearing circa 29 February 2016. The actual discovery reported in these stories is attributed to the preceding Thursday (25 February).

Bajorat's yacht had already been "discovered" on 31 January by the racing yacht LMAX Exchange, which was participating in a long distrance race. Bajorat's boat was boarded, and he was discovered dead "in an advanced state of decomposition." The racers contacted the US Coast Guard operating out of Guam (the closest jurisdiction).

The USCG took over the investigation and released the racers to continue on their way within hours. Apparently USCG had already contacted Bajorat's family by the time the drifting yacht was re-discovered circa 4 weeks later and the story finally made it into the public news media. In the mean time, the racers and race officials had not publicized details of the discovery beyond noting it in their race progress news releases.

The latest "last date seen alive" claim I've found on Bajorat dates back to early 2015. Other claims date back farther in time. This latest claim suggests there could have been several months during which he could have been mummifying.

Here's a fabulous video of stories from the retired Queen Mary, as told by grounded and articulate witnesses:

The witnesses are very articulate, and the presentation is very down to earth, and even plain—it makes for refreshinging credible reports.

Long Beach, California owns the Queen Mary, but the 1936 ship is falling apart.

This California town has three options costing about the same which is 140 million dollars.

Restore the ship which will cost more money in the future to repair as the ship decays even further.

Sell the ship for scrap.

Sink the ship to make an artificial reef.

I vote to sink the ship to make a reef.
