Pranked by Russians.

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham has in the last year become something of a congressional point man for President Donald Trump’s negotiations with Turkey, leading discussions on everything from Ankara’s purchase of a Russian missile system over the summer to their more recent incursion into northern Syria.

So when he received a call from a man he thought was Turkey’s minister of defense earlier in August, it didn’t strike him as unusual. “Thank you so much for calling me, Mr. Minister,” Graham said. “I want to make this a win-win, if we can.”

But it wasn’t the Turkish defense minister at all. Instead, it was Alexey Stolyarov and Vladimir Kuznetsov, Russian pranksters with suspected ties to the country’s intelligence services who go by “Lexus and Vovan.” The duo have become notorious in recent years for their cold calls to unwitting, high-profile Western politicians, including Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, leading some to suspect that they’ve had help from the Kremlin, according to The Guardian. (A Schiff spokesman said at the time that the House Intelligence Committee “informed appropriate law enforcement and security personnel of the conversation.”)

Band goes on tour, band members begin to wonder why there is nobody there when they are playing, venue operators wonder where all the people they supposedly sold tickets to are, then they realise the band leader has been buying attention online to make it look as if the band has an audience, when it doesn't:

The thought processes that make someone think this is a good idea are beyond my ken, certainly.

A long and fancy retelling of this tale has appeared on the BBC:

Cock(!)pit transcripts/recordings released.

“Balls are going to be a little lopsided,” the pilot advised.
“Balls are complete,” he reported moments later. “I just gotta navigate a little bit over here for the shaft.”
“Which way is the shaft going?” the EWO asked.
“The shaft will go to the left,” the pilot answered.
“It’s gonna be a wide shaft,” the EWO noted.
“I don’t wanna make it just like 3 balls,” the pilot said.
“Let’s do it,” the EWO said. “Oh, the head of that penis is going to be thick.”

I can remember seeing stunts similar to this as far back as the 1960s. Operating a car-turned-aquarium is risky owing to the risk of electrical issues and dangerous owing to the excessive load weight and sloshing.
Prankster appears in Australia court for driving flooded car

A social media prankster appeared in an Australian court on Wednesday charged in relation to driving a car full of water to a liquor store during a heat wave and buying beer.

Michael Alexander Philippou, 28, who operates the RackaRacka YouTube channel with his twin brother Danny, faced the Christies Beach Magistrates Court in Adelaide on charges including driving in a reckless or dangerous manner, driving an unregistered vehicle and failing to wear a seat belt.

He posted video online of him and his companion Jackson O’Doherty wearing goggles and a scuba diving regulators while driving the modified Ford Laser sedan in January last year.

The suspension of the leaking sedan clearly struggled with the weight of water as it drove to a drive-in liquor store where Philippou and O’Doherty bought two bottles of beer.

The video shows them drinking the beer underwater.

Another video posted in December showed police arresting Philippou over the stunt. ...

The Campaign to Unify the Nation Trophy.

(WARNING : She speaks in this video. She is not a well person)

She does have brain damage, yes.
Also, she does believe in equality - she's an equal-opportunities hater and hates everybody equally.

The Mrs has just reminded me of a good one from a couple of months ago. We were sat outside smoking with my boss when he got a call ..

"Hello, we understand that you've been involved in an accident at work that wasn't your fault."

"Oh no no .. it was definitely my fault. I'd done a load of ketamine, I was driving at the time and my girlfriend was sucking me off."

*phone goes dead* .. :badge:.. funny bastard.

You know who else used to use that line of argument? Bernard Manning. I didn't believe him, either.

The recent social media craze for balancing brooms is bogus.
NASA Explains Why The Viral Standing Broom Trick Is a Hoax

In the latest viral challenge to overtake Twitter, people are balancing brooms upright in order to demonstrate a supposed unique gravitational pull taking place on February 10. However, the tweet igniting the #BroomChallenge - which claimed that NASA provided the scientific basis for the balancing act - has proven to be a hoax.

"Okay so NASA said today was the only day a broom can stand up on its own because of the gravitational pull," Twitter user @mikaiylaaaaa wrote, accompanying a video of herself balancing a broom.

The tweet, which has received over 250,000 likes at the time of this post, inspired thousands to upload their own videos of broom balancing acts.

The stunt's premise of an unusual gravitational pull on February 10, however, is false - and NASA wants to set the record straight.

"This is another social media hoax that exemplifies how quickly pseudoscience and false claims can go viral," NASA said in a statement emailed to Insider. ...

Comedian and people's champion Joe Lycett is fed up of Hugo Boss taking small companies to court for using the word 'boss' in their company names ... so Joe has legally changed his name to Hugo Boss just to piss them off, even Wikipedia has recorded this change. The artist formerly known as Joe Lycett will now be trading as Hugo Boss. Legend. :rollingw:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Lycett

Hopefully one of the real Hugo Boss staff won't now change their name to or start trading as Joe Lycett and get his website taken down now that he's instead Hugo Boss now ..
