When you see the boy run, it's obvious there's a glass or something similar the video is displayed on.

It looks a lot like the concert with the Japanese virtual pop star, or the big giant head of Richard Burton they have at War of the Worlds live, ie looks nice from the optimum angle but probably but probably doesn't hold up very well otherwise.

Also, from the text introducing the video:

I felt this was very important for me to load for people who are new to holograms and still cannot wrap their minds around how real they appear or the fact that holographic planes also crashed into the world trade center on 911.

Well, technically it's at the start cos the album plays inside-out.....it's in the groove around the label!

Actual solid light moving holograms created.
Incredible tech.

They may be tiny weapons, but BYU’s holography research group has figured out how to create lightsabers — green for Yoda and red for Darth Vader, naturally — with actual luminous beams rising from them.
