Youtube put this in my in-tray!

I recalled this parody of make-over shows from years ago and always hoped it was for real.

The Comments on Youtube don't really shed much light. One claims that it was for real but the victim of the gag was later killed in a car accident. RIP, if that is true.

I thought his reaction was authentically restrained; the question about the "original doors" has an air of quiet concern.

Is it an actual parody? With a genuine 'victim'? Or a pastiche parody, in a proto-Borat style, where everyone is actually in on the joke? But done in a fifth-wall metatheatric style?

I'm in three minds about this....(and the alleged unconnected fatality only further compounds my confusion).
