An 80-year-old man tells his wife, "I'm going to the doctor to get me some of those new Viagra pills."
His wife gets her coat on and says, "I'm going to the doctor, too. If you're going to start using that rusty old thing again, I'm getting a tetanus shot."
"...And I gave that man directions, even though I didn't know the way, because that's the kind of guy I am this week. "
Yeah I just discovered that - also a further edit with some additional info has disappeared.
I'm checking to see if it's an error on my part or moderation.
If it's in any way unacceptable I will delete the whole post as without the pic it makes no sense, and the additional info adds to my reasoning.
EDIT: Further checks show no issues so must just be me being useless. I am reposting and deleting the old one.
(repost from upthread including original pic and edits)
This is definitely a repost from last year and underneath I explain why, with context, which is very appropriate.
When I got online this morning I found that Facebook had suspended my account for 7 days.
Their message said that I had 'breached their community guidelines' (or words to that effect).
I appealed this along with a direct message I sent to their 'help' page.
The reason being was that this was a post I made on May 8th 2020, one year ago, and what happened was that their 'memories' section had automatically reposted it to my main wall, triggering their AI to issue the suspension, as in the intervening time period that same AI has obviously been altered to include 'certain pictures'.
Within a very short amount of time I had my suspension lifted and everything reinstated but I noticed that the posting that 'memories' had automatically made to my main wall was still there....along with the advice 'nobody will see this unless you share it'.
Yeah....I don't think I will share it, thanks.
So, a little worrying that posts from a year ago can be retrospectively suspended, when they were originally ok.
I'm glad the law doesn't work like that, otherwise I can foresee a situation in which I would get a speeding fine for driving at 70mph on the motorway a year ago because this week they have started some roadworks on that section and imposed a 50mph limit!
Oh and BTW - if you were thinking of copying that picture to facebook, it's probably best you don't, they probably don't like it.
