I maybe older than most, but after WW II there was a baby boom in the U.S.

When I was in school everything was so overcrowded.

There were too many students per class room.

When It came to the lunch break, just crazy !

Some bought lunch with money, and some brought their lunch.

There was not enough tables and chairs so many ate on the floors.

If I brought my lunch it was usually peanut and jelly sandwiches.

Peanut butter was my friend through school.

Then everyone ran to the overcrowded bathrooms.

The boy’s lines moved faster than the girl’s lines.

It's still true today that the girls spend longer in the toilets than the boys.
And the girls toilets are always dirtier.
I worked in a school as a caretaker for several years and I know why that is.
It's because the boys go in the toilet, do their business, and get out.
Whereas the girls treat the area as another area for socialising in, so will stay in there for a gossip, eat, do their make-up etc etc.

My Mum was an usherette in our local ABC cinema in East Ham, London. I used to get in for free! I also remember my Dad taking me to see the first Doctor Who film and I spent most of the film hiding behind the seat!
Was that with Peter Cushing as the Doctor (which never happened because a bunch of Whovians decided it wasn't 'canon') ?

That looks mean :( What is it? beyond a snake...
That was an Eastern Tiger snake Frides, that was scooting across the back lawn - saw us and got visibly pissed off, hence the flattened appearance. The best thing to do is stand still, or run...the trouble there is that they can travel as fast as a human being can run.

As young'ns, Old Mr Oskar Felt told us the best thing to do with any snake is to stand still and let it go past, and He lived into his nineties.
