Yeah, maybe just a bit of fire, much as you'd expect with all those explosions going off.

Bond boxset sued for not having enough Bond movies in it
The definitive James Bond DVD and Blu-ray boxset wasn't definitive at all, it seems...

Here’s a bit of an odd story for you. Back in September 2012, a boxset of James Bond movies was released, that claimed to gather “all the Bond films” in one set for the first time. As such, lots of people bought said set, including a customer by the name of Mary Johnson.

Thing is, Mary Johnson wasn’t best pleased to note that two 007 adventures were missing from the set. The original, comedy-driven take on Casino Royale, and the unofficial remake of Thunderball, Never Say Never Again.

etc...

Danny Boyle is being touted as the future director for a future Bond film (we say film in the UK, not 'movie' *snooty sniff* ;) .. Quentin Tarantino made a pitch a few year back which thankfully never happened .. I like Tarantino but not for a quintessentially British film franchise like 007 old bean!"

.. and Mr Boyle has already directed The Queen of England and Daniel Craig for that London Olympics spot ..

And Cillian Murphy as Bond!

Hey, drag yourself into the metrosexual 21st century, grandpa!
Tsk! Bond has to fight people - some of them huge. He needs to be muscular, otherwise it's not believable.

Just create a CGI Bond - no need to pay actors or worry about the regular hunt for a new Bond

I point you in the direction of Brad Pitt in Snatch, sinewy but can knock a man out with one thunderpunch. He has an Irish accent in it too.

He was more than sinewy then. He actually had muscles.

I nominate Stephen Fry as the new Bond, because 1) he rocks; and 2) seeing as he can't fight he'll have to use his considerable wit against his opponents.

Have to admit I liked the idea of Idris as Bond. Would you be ok with Emily Blunt as Bond if she portrayed him as being Trans?

If they're going to fuck with the role, they should go all the way and have Bond be a black lesbian in a wheelchair.

If they're going to fuck with the role
Haven't they already 'fucked with the role' by having had it played wildly differently by 6 different actors over the years? Or would the true-to-life realism that James Bond movies are so well known for be shattered by having a black actor?

I dislike the idea for the same reason that Mr. Elba dislikes it: it would be difficult to come to any other conclusion than that the actor is a token black, and was chose simply to make a political point. As I understand it, Bond is a Scotsman whose family history goes way back. Unlikely to be black. Of course, he probably doesn't look much like Daniel Craig either. :)

Next, we'll insist that the role of Nelson Mandela be played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. After all, Austrians are grossly under-represented in Hollywood. :)

Had I been in control of the Bond empire, I'd be very wary of getting too adventurous with casting. The films are expensive to make, and one doesn't want a flop.
