Korean Fans Of Death (Deaths Via Electric Fans In Closed Spaces)

The unofficial fan death website linked to above is still going and has been updated recently... although the connected Facebook page does appear to have died on it's arse.

I love this label - wonder if it's for real?

According to the text, it only kills children, the weak and the old - we hale and hearty fellows have nowt to fear.

You'd potentially collapse the space-time continuum.

It hasn't really come up.

I've noted that when used, timers are usually employed to save on electricity bills (typically higher than in the UK).

But the middle-classes upwards all have air-conditioning, and fans are more commonly found in public places or the homes of the working class.

Temperatures above 40 Celsius are very common here in the summer, and humidity is uncomfortably high.

North Korea just heard about this topic:

I've slept many times in a room with a closed door and a fan blowing on me.
Apparently, I'm still alive.
Is it just the fans in Korea that do this (i.e. nowhere else)?
