No, not the Joe Spinell video nasty, the new Netflix show. I hated the same guy's True Detective, so was reluctant to try it, but a friend recommended I give it a go so I started it tonight. Not sure whether it's exploiting mental illness or acknowledging it, though it did have an authentic air to some scenes, even in its science fiction setting.

Interesting... very hostile Emma Stone, sad sack Jonah Hill... Anyone else watching it? Most people will have binged all 10 episodes by now, I imagine, but I'm a lot slower consuming these things.

It's great, watched 9 episodes, saving last for tomorrow.

I think it's acknowledging mental illness. It's very much in the PKD vein, especially the late 1980s it's sey in. A real retro future of the type Dick would have imagined in his 60s novels.

Yes, two episodes in and enjoying it. Also noted the original Norwegian version appeared on NF at the same time, would like to try that one as well.
