Miscellaneous Ghost Photos & Videos

I assumed the person used a mobile phone to film the image off a monitor. They could at least have held the phone perpendicular to the screen.

Ooh, get a load of this, people! But try not to be scared.

Yes, the Clevedon Pier ghost has returned, at least according to that august organ, Somerset Live.

Ghost, or a local scally who broke in? You decide. Though I think Occam and his shaving implement might come in handy...

In the article a "level two ghost" was mentioned. Ghosts now have rankings and achievement levels?

These local paranormal ghost hunting groups come up with such a load of :bs: to essentially hide the fact nothing happened during their visit, they are as bad as that Yvette Fielding. Yes, I am glad there are people interested in the paranormal and prepared to give up their spare time in pursuance of it, but seriously you lot.

Anyway, I quite like the volunteer's account of hear the muffled conversation on the pier.

Sanatorium Security Guard Seen Reacting to "Ghost" on Camera in Argentina

A recent video out of Argentina appears to show a security guard at a sanatorium interacting with an invisible visitor.

In the video, the hospital doors can be seen opening, then the security guard stands to release a retractable barrier, followed by him appearing to escort someone down the hallway, even offering the phantom guest a wheelchair and seemingly filling out paperwork.

This one seems to be a bit dodgy - as the camera wobbles about - presumably it's supposed to be a security camera (?) and I can't imagine that anyone would stand about videoing nothing but a security guard with any good reason?

“The video was recorded anonymously via cellphone from the monitoring center at Finochietto Sanatorium, a private care facility in an affluent area north of Buenos Aires.”

I assume someone has used their mobile to record the footage from a monitor, which may account for the shaking.

Some extra info.

The audio of the video (in heavily Argentinian-accented Spanish not helped by strong music at times drowning out the speech) doesn't add much more, an old lady came in and asked to go to room 9-15 (I assume room 15 on the 9th floor), when checked later, the name written in the visitors book was the name of a patient who had died a few hours earlier. Hospital authorities played it down and said it was probably a joke by the guard - but then again, what else could you expect hospital authorities to say?

From my link just above:

“The doctor Guglielmo Capuia, head of the institutional public relations area of the sanatorium, told journalist Mauro Szeta that “in the video we see that the door has been opened several times previously and the employee has done nothing”.

With this explanation, Capuya hinted that the port was wrong, which he later claimed.

The doctor stressed that no certified hospitalization of the patient was recorded either by Avenida Córdoba or by the institution’s guard.

The authority of the sanatorium emphasized this no hypothesis can be excluded, though he focused on a possible workplace joke or some kind of employee-related issue. He doesn’t know who recorded the viral video with his phone and is aware that the door that opens in front of the guard often doesn’t work properly.”

The video commentator also mentions at the end that if the guard is acting, then he is a very good actor - a comment I would agree with.

"Also, this bit". . . 'There are even those who do not rule out that the man got tired of the door which usually works badly – that it opened by itself and made a acting for 'security cameras!'

- As to electronic doors opening for no reason, frightening staff, I’ve previously posted this anecdote from my personal experience.

l’d be blaming local taxi radios or something similar.

They often work on an optical sensor, and if the sensor isn't calibrated properly, even silly things like wind-blown leaves, moths or birds can set them off - or cobwebs being blown around.

Yep. My doors at work (which I have to spend a seven hour shift standing facing, so am well equipped to comment on their vagaries) frequently open on their own, but it is almost ALWAYS a windy day with rubbish blowing about outside. It has, as yet, never been a ghost coming in to get their shopping.

I agree about automatic doors opening on own. This happens often, imo. If the sensor is just off, it can pick up things not near the door and open. I also have stood in front of a motion sensor door, waving my hands in the air trying to figure out where I have to stand for it to open.

As to comments about acting abilities, it's not difficult to pretend you are answering someone and getting them a chair.

Perhaps the employee was bored and wanted to have some fun, knowing that there were cameras. Though there is supposition that this was taken on a cell phone, fine. But usually hospitals have cameras placed at entry ways, so that is which one I'm referring to when saying that he was having fun with the cameras. 3 a.m. is the hardest time to stay awake, for me, and getting up just to do something, I could imagine him doing that.

"No hypothesis can be excluded" should be a sub title to The Forteana Forums

Humanity is cursed with bad ghost videos until phone cameras can capture good video on dark nights and in dark conditions.

It's something, what it is can't be confirmed.

Ghost filmed sitting on a bench (Northam, UK):

"Josh Newton and friend George Moore, both 21, were driving through North Devon when they saw the ghostly figure next to the war memorial and managed to capture it on camera"

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-news/man-captures-ghost-soldier-sat-28964013
Interesting. I do think that the reflecting light or water (not sure what) in the background and camera angle at which the figure appears may have some effect since it is only filmed once the lighter background comes directly behind the image. Though why it would look like a person sitting, I have no idea.

A 21 year old driving along 'just decided' to film a war memorial? Yeah, pull the other one... And it's 'sitting', not 'sat'. Tch.
Well, it's a variation on "I took the photo seeing no one in the picture. It was only until I got back home and reviewed the photos that I saw ..." trope.
It's amazing how many people 'just happen' to take a photo of an uninteresting spot, completely randomly, honest ...
