Oh that's very nice of you Mythopoeika. I'm alive and well, thank you :) I suppose I just fancied a little rest, I don't know why. It's nice to think this oasis of fortean open-mindedness is always here to retreat to, and there are always interesting like-minded people to bounce ideas off.
I've still be forteana-ing, collecting poltergeist stories and trying to make a website. But in classic Eponastill style, I'm good at starting things and not very good at getting them done. And also i've been very preoccupied looking at plants and animals while the weather's been good.
But now it's becoming autumnal it might be the season to return to the fold. thank you all for noticing :)

I like most kinds of cake - but what the hell is THAT meant to be? I thought Baked Alaska by the meringue, but icing wouldn't work on meringue, because it melts. The base looks like a type of macaroon, and it's obviously been in the oven, but what is that under the meringue, apple?
