Yes. I'd avoid any rough horse-play and an offer of a traditional home (half-)cooked meal from any acquaintances from the Congo for now.
Well I don't eat meat, and I think my days of getting frisky are behind me. If mpox spreads to Britain I just need to avoid cuts and being bitten. Is it being bitten by infected people, or by monkeys or what? Is it going to be like a zombie mpoxalypse?

It’s like covid with added pustules.

I see these photos of the pox and think of this.

Here we go again. Lockdown 2.0 is on it's way with all the razzamatazz fear porn the government and the MSM can muster to drive the masses into a death and doom state of mind.
It's almost... engineered.

I don't for one absolute titchy tiny minute division of a second believe that it may have been engineered.
Not the virus, but the opportunity for another lockdown.

It's when the zombie apocalypse arises that you'll really have to become concerned!

STDs confound me. Make no mistake, sometimes people contract them at no fault of their own, but when a disease can mostly be avoided by simply being more careful with who you have sex with, it makes spreading it seem like a criminal level of irresponsibility. Very frustrating how many STDs could have been virtually eradicated at this point if people were just more careful.

The Congo doesn't have access to the vaccines like we do. If first world countries actually assisted lesser well off countries then diseases like this wouldn't become rampant.

Oh, for sure. But I'm talking more about the spread of STDs in countries where sex education, access to contraceptives, and vaccines are commonplace. I'm not going to blame someone who doesn't even know what an STD is or the symptoms of it are for accidentally spreading it.

Or more honest...especially a long term partner.

One thing people will always do is bonk. They know how new, resource hungry humans are made but, even if they lack access to those resources, they'll bonk. They know that every bonk could carry infection, but they'll bonk. They'll watch a child die of starvation or disease, and they'll bonk. Mother nature makes squishy machines with the primary programming to bonk.

I suppose it is too much to ask. If bonking magically killed a million orphans and grandmas on the other side of the planet, bonking would still probably occur at the same rate.

Because it wasn't a proper vaccine. If it was you'd not have to keep having it. You don't need to keep having polio or smallpox shots.

does that mean that tetanus vaccines (for example) aren't vaccines? :dunno:
