I don't know whether this is the proper place to post this or not--but it certainly in "general".

I have an account at http://www.backflip.com, a free online bookmark site where you can save your bookmarks--I have found this immensely useful since I move around a lot and like to have my bookmarks whereever I go.

One of the many features is the possibility of making public any or all of your bookmark folders. I put a couple of hundred "Fortean" bookmarks into a public directory on Friday.

If you want to check them out, go to http://www.backflip.com and search for username "brantgoose".

That is another of my aliases.

A couple of subdirectories have odd names, for example "Other tongues" is webpages in languages other than English. I have not correctly identified all of these languages, but if I get a chance I found a site which guesses what language a word or phrase is written in, and it seems to work. I may eventually clean up my mistaken identifications. I'm not linguist enough to be sure that I can tell "Norwegian" from "Danish", or "Spanish" from "Portugese", let alone the Slavic languages from each other.

I don't necessarily endorse any of these sites, in fact, I don't necessarily know what they have to say (especially the one I think might be in Polish!). I just did a Google search on "Charles Fort" and then tried to eliminate redundancies as much as possible.

I even have a directory called "Not Charles Fort" about the other Charles Forts, which include a number of actual forts and a black American poet from Nebraska.

Unfortunately, backflip.com seems to be extinct.
