Narwhal Tusk Used Against Terrorist

Incredible heroism by ordinary people.

Pedestrians who tackled a man wielding a knife on London Bridge have been praised as "everyday heroes".

Two people died after an attacker stabbed a number of people in a "terror-related" incident.

Footage on social media appears to show the knifeman being held down by passers-by before firearms officers intervene and shoot him dead.

One man who intervened said they had been trying to dislodge the knife from the man's hand.

Members of the public expressed their admiration for the bravery of those involved.

George Robarts tweeted that one man, filmed walking away from the attacker holding a knife, "ran through traffic and jumped the central partition to tackle the attack with several others".

He continued: "We ran away but looks like he disarmed him, amazing bravery."

The narwhal-spike-wielder is a chap called Lukascz, from Poland, prompting at least ten wags on Twitter to point out that he's not the first Polish Tusk to try and save us from our own fanatics.

That's as far as we can go with that.
 
These guys tackling an armed terrorist were so brave, it made me pround to be more or less British.
 
Wholesome update:

Steven Gallant, who was praised for risking his life to stop the attack, has been granted the royal prerogative of mercy, an extremely rare case of absolution for a convicted murderer.

Gallant, 42, will see the 17-year sentence he received in 2005 reduced by 10 months, and could apply for parole next June, the Mirror reported.

The Ministry of Justice said the Queen was advised to grant this pardon as a result of Gallant’s “exceptionally brave actions […] which helped save people’s lives despite the tremendous risk to his own”.

In an extraordinary turn of events, the family of firefighter Barrie Jackson, whom Gallant killed outside a pub in Hull, backed the decision to free the murderer early.

Jackson’s student son Jack, 21, said: “I have mixed emotions – but what happened at London Bridge goes to show the reality that people can change,” adding that he would not rule out meeting his father’s killer one day.
