New Movie Trailers

Gerry Anderson is doing a CG Captain Scarlet. Not sure if it's a film or series though.

Why wasn't there a Lieutenant Mauve? Private Cerise? Major Puce? :)

Well, Private Taupe and Lieutenant Lavender got drummed out for inappropriate behaviour

You can imagine the guy at the back of the queue when they hand out the colours.

"Okay you're errr, erm, Captain Off-White-With-A-Hint-of-Summer-Sunshine" Quickly hides Dulux colour card.

Johnny Depp's take on J. M. Barrie, Finding Neverland here.

(Chick flick alert ... chick flick alert ... chick fl)

For those of us who can't get enough of cheesy Cormanesque sequels, there's the direct-to-video Boa vs. Python, with swell misleading Godzilla style cover.

Cool premise. New movie about a remote viewer who may or may not be eliminating serial killers, just to get the images of Suspect Zero's kills out of his head.

Hong Kong comedy and cult hit Shaolin Soccer is being released on Region 1 DVD today (8/24). A mix of the Magnificent Seven, soccer and Jackie Chan-style comedy. Wrtier/director/star Steven Chow is expected to be the next big Hong Kong star to cross over to Western stardom. Trailer here.

RE: 'Sin City'

looks hideous.
Unfortunately, very true.

You have to do something with speech bubbles, before you transcribe them into a script.

Unfortunately, someone let Frank write a screenplay again.

Will they never learn?

Let him write stories, by all means. He's good at that. But don't let him write a frickin' script.

Obscure reference here, but looking at the Sin City preview, is anyone reminded of the attempt to make an 80s TV show out of the newspaper comic strip Jane? It starred Glynis Barber as the underwear clad heroine, and was filmed against blue screen with headache-inducing backgrounds. Anybody? No?

Sounds like a fun show.

Well, the underwear bit sounds interesting.

It wasn't really, it was strictly gimmicky with all those comic panel backgrounds, and the underwear stayed on, unlike in the comic strip. It was also made into a truly awful film, Jane and the Lost City, a couple of years afterwards.

OOh! I've been waiting for that one. Depp's Wonka looks decidedly sinister.
:D

He'd have to go a long way to beat Marilyn Manson's version, but he does look a bit wasted. I had hoped running about, on the beer with Johnny Vegas, might have put a bit of flesh on his bones.

Yet another movie that didn't need to be remade. It may be good, Depp may well fit the bill, but it looks like a retro pastiche of a 60's pop-art movie, when the original really was a piece of bubblegum, psychedelia, made in the 60's and had Gene Wilder (in one of his best roles) as Willie Wonka and Roy Kinnear.

Let's face it, not even Johnny Depp could take that step over the border into insanity like Wilder did in the boat scene.

well ive watched the trailer and ill give it a 3

also why for forts sake does it have to be set in the us yet again?

im wondering if its going to be a id-4 (clone/ part 2?)
