The danger that Russia poses has now become clear, says STEPHEN POLLARD
AS revelations go the unmasking of the would-be assassin of Sergei Skripal as a decorated hero of Russian military intelligence is spectacular. On one level it is a simply brilliant piece of investigative journalism. But it is also much more. Because it shows beyond any doubt the deadly seriousness of the battle we are engaged in with Russia."

You have to say, full marks to Bellingcat if this is true, & even fuller marks to the Russian sources who probably tracked this stuff down. Whoever's doing that must knowingly be putting themself in danger of reprisals..

It wouldn't surprise me to hear of some tragic accidents in the near future..

Why [it seems] our own intelligence people couldn't track this down I don't know.

Too busy shagging women they picked up at the Casino and filling in the relevant forms for a car that fires rockets at helicopters I guess.

He’s actually standing 1000 miles away. That’s just the side effect of his Infinity Goggles.

More like proof - should anybody need it - that Harry Potter is an agent of the Kremlin.

There was just now an article on beeb news that a woman from far east Russia, where the man comes from, has identified him as being Col. Anatoly Chepiga.

He has vanished since his appearance on RT. Probably on holiday taking in the sights somewhere.

My first guess would be to look at Wells Cathedral where he could be found admiring the scissor arches.

Yes. Very courageous salt-of-the-Earth peasant woman in the eastern town of Beryozovka is on record as scoffing at the Boshirov bollocks and saying "Why! It's that young scamp Anatoly Chepiga who grew up just down the road and was always getting into scrapes. I'd know the little rascal anywhere!"

I swear I saw him at York Minster recently. It was definitely him.

And now the Eye of Sauron SORRY Putin has awakened from its long slumber and is greedily looking East.
There are rumours of fell GRU henchmen being abroad.
I fear life will never be the same for the humble peasants of Beryozovka, who previously were content to sit in their hovels around glowing samovars. We live in troubled times.

But can the sage Maybot the Grey and Trump the Orange give us wise council to combat this threat?

He'll be easy to find, look up some 123 meter landmarks, and then go in the opposite direction to them from the nearest transportation point.

Well I certainly don't think 'we' are going to war over this. And if, as you seem to be alluding to, it's a trumped up non-story, I don't think we're going to war over that either.

If the bombs start falling I'm prepared to pay you one UK pound in recompense. I can't say fairer than that.

Since satellites will be knocked out & internet down I won't be able to wire the money so it'll have to be a cash transaction. But don't worry I'll find you - I'll recognise the bike.

Awwww Putin likes dogs!
He must be all right then. No brutal dictator would be fond of dogs ... errm would they?
Hitler had dogs too. He showed them a lot of affection.
The dogs had no way of knowing what a bastard he was.
