Convicted sex offender Gary Glitter has been ordered to pay at least £508,000 to a victim he abused when she was 12 years old.

A High Court judge ruled that Glitter - whose real name is Paul Gadd - subjected the claimant "to sexual abuse of the most serious kind".

The woman brought her claim after Glitter was convicted in 2015 of abusing her and two other young people between 1975 and 1980.

Highland Councillors have unanimously approved plans for the demolition of a cottage in Glen Coe that was once owned by Jimmy Savile.

The cottage at Allt Na Reigh in the Ben Nevis and Glen Coe National Scenic Area has been repeatedly vandalised since Savile's crimes came to light following his death in 2011.

The TV presenter was one of the most notorious paedophiles and sex offenders in UK criminal history.

The site's new owner, the family of retail business boss Harris Aslam, have been granted planning permission to replace the property with a new home.

Not surprised. For a while, it was a magnet for urban explorers/intruders, then it got smashed up, as some symbolic hate-site, standing-in for the perp. who had escaped earthly justice.

I am only surprised that this remote spot - chosen, for that reason, by Savile? - is worth redevelopment! :dunno:

Can a mod please contact me on this? I thought I’d made posts on Gill’s BBC statue and even had replies on my posts.
At this point, I’m wondering whether my memory’s gone.

Did you and your mates chase me in Chesterfield circa 1985?
This is you?

There are posts of yours re Eric Gill on page 69 of this thread, dating from the end of last year - so your memory is still working!
