This isn't a very good thread title I know, but is there a term for that odd feeling you get when passing through somewhere that feels exactly the same as another place you know? The only way I can describe it is more than somewhere 'reminding' you of somewhere else: the similarity is such that the places viscerally feel similar, even if there are physical differences.
I had a good example from the north Welsh borders I grew up in, although Google Street View doesn't do it much justice - this was the hill leading down to the Cross Foxes pub at Overton Bridge compared with the hill leading down to what was, decades back, called the Australia Arms near Trevor, a few miles away.
