Are there a lot of fighter jets in private hands?
I know there are a few Hunters in private hands and the actor Micheal Dorn who played Worf in Star Trek TNG once owned an F86 Sabre. I'd imagine jets would be very costly to run and need skilled mechanics and tech people to work on them compared to a piston aircraft.

Either there's a mix-up or someone has one hell of a souped-up Cessna. The C150 has a maximum range of 480 miles, a maximum ceiling of 14,000ft and a maximum speed of 109knots but this one is zipping along at 406kts at 43,000ft halfway across the Atlantic!

There are often drone flights from Lydd up and down the Straits of Dover looking
for illegals Lydd as a web cam though it is off line just now so if you get the timing
right you can see the beast though it's not one of the big military drones.

Nept13 looks interesting as well off Plymouth and RCH802 heading towards Bude is a C17-a of the USAF
busy down there. RRR6664 is a RAF C17 going the other way.

There's a couple of Hawks joining in the fun too.

Seven (I think 7, they were going pretty fast) jets just flew over my 'ouse in formation, heading northwest. They didn't come up on Flightradar so I dunno!

A Royal Navy plane has crashed in a field in Cornwall.
Two pilots are being checked for injuries after ejecting from a Hawk aircraft from the 736 Naval Air Squadron, based at RNAS Culdrose, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) confirmed.
An investigation into the crash "will begin in due course", the MOD said.
Police said they received reports of an aircraft crashing in the St Martins area of Helston and have asked people to avoid the area.

Two Helicopters landed in a field and a air ambulance was airborne but appeared to be recalled
could be all the activity was a search and rescue mission.

I live in Cheshire so if they flew over me to or from Anglesey, which they do now and then between air shows, they wouldn't go in that direction.

The Hawks from RAF Valley fly over the Welsh hills most days. The sheep must be fed up of them by now.
